A little white lie 💚

My contribution to Ribbit's and Ragatha's relationship.

Believe it or not I've been working on this comic for months now but only had the time and patience to finish it now.

Rest assured that whenever Ragatha doesn't get enough attention, I will make it my mission to make her shine.

It's just a little funny interaction I had in mind.. tho I'm sure Ragatha had a hard time keeping up her smile when her friend abstracted.

All good things take time.

I saw the finale when it first hit theaters, and I honestly am so happy I did. It was an unforgettable experience.

I do think abstractions can be interpreted as different situations/experiences, this comic reflecting one idea where the abstracted can eventually find their ways back to a tangible, defined body. Not the same one as before, no. They're forever changed after this. It'll be different. Familiar, but different. The interpretation, in the end, is up to the viewer. Whichever one brings them the things they need in the moment.

This comic isn't necessarily what I want to be "canon", but it was something that made me tear up a bit as I gave it some thought.

I was going to color this fully, but I decided to stick to my original plans of keeping limited colors/just values. TADC greatly inspired me to go back to my original work and try to get my own stories out there, and I...well...can't say it. ADHD (alleged) doesn't like me making plans lol I just gotta GO for it haha, but you might be able to fill in the blanks.

I also saw people using Leeroy's emo hair for their transfem Jax designs and thought to myself "the shapes are a bit similar to the abstractions."

My HC here is the eyes are bound to her emotions and Jax can't lie when those eyes call her out every time lel

Membrane only refers to his offspring by their names in special circumstances….

Y’all mind if I just…… *rewrites the entire ending to ETF* There, I fixed it.

Dear Mr.Vasquez, if an Invader Zim reboot ever happens, please don’t revert things to the status-quo. I don’t think my heart could take it.

I know Membrane became a somewhat controversial character in the fandom after ETF came out. But I actually do want him to grow  and change and be better, and he was obviously taking steps in the right direction, but I think Membrane realized he has to do more. I based a lot of this conversation off of an experience I have had with my own parents, “meeting halfway” as it were.

Dib and Membrane speak the exact same language and are very much alike, but they miss the mark entirely when it comes to communicating with each other. Dib is still a moron, and Professor Membrane is still a moron, but it is a start. 

You can’t have “found family” without finding the family you had all along after all.

This explains Dib’s rabid behavior toward Zim after the events of the Florpus make way more sense.

And for how feral and aggressive Dib acts, people forget he’s just a kid…a pretty average 12 year old boy actually….. and I know Dib isn’t a character who cries very often….. but from some dialogue in ETF, it’s implied that Gaz has seen Dib cry before….  You can’t tell me that all of that doesn’t get to him sometimes.

Also no one tell Dib he’s a fictional character. It would break him
