We need more people who review horror films to actually LIKE HORROR FILMS and the things that MAKE THEM HORROR FILMS

I need less people who go "ooh this one was really gorey :(" and more people who go "YEAH MAN the kills in this one were really creative and fun to watch!" I need less people who go like "The story was cool but it pushed the scary parts too far and it freaked me out :(" and more people who go "WOW that one was both thematically engaging AND fairly intense!! Awesome!" LIKE COOME OOOOON!!!! STOP TRYING TO OBJECTIVELY REVIEW A GENRE PIECE WHEN YOU CLEARLY DON'T EVEN LIKE THE GENRE OF THE PIECE YOU'RE CONSUMING!!

I enjoy it cause getting to take out a comically large magnifying glass and hold it up to my eyeball and go "hmm...... Facinating....." while watching a man get his weewee cut off or a woman vomit on someone, all while dissecting the social, political, and psychological implications of that, makes my brain cells activate.
