If you're a creator publishing free CC, you can submit your work to be featured in the new Community tab of my Refreshed Main Menu mod!
It isn't anything overly complex: it displays the CC, some info about it, and a link. But it highlights free community content for PC/Mac players. The content updates automatically, so it changes frequently and new CC can show up often.
Not a creator? You can still help by engaging with this post to spread the word! :)

Getting started
1. Start in any world. Starting with an empty world or save file is recommended, but you can also evict current residents and renovate or replace lots as you progress. Feel free to expand your kingdom across multiple worlds.
2. Crown your Ruler. This can be a Sim version of yourself or any Sim you'd prefer.
3. The Founders. Select 3-5 Archetypes as your founding households. 1-13 have Base Game-friendly options.
4. Designated Sim. Pick one Sim, teen or older, per household to complete the Archetype goals.
They may have roommates, partners, families, and pets.
They can have any three traits from CAS.
They cannot start off with any reward traits or skills.
Any occult type is allowed, but a few Archetypes have specific recommendations.
5. Homestead allowance. Utilize starting funds from CAS to establish an initial residence for each household. Pick any lot in your starting world.
§20,000 for a single Sim, plus §2,000 for each additional member/pet (capped at §34,000).
If you use pre-made Sims, you may need to cheat their funds.
6. The peasant’s path. For added difficulty, you can start each household off with §0 Simoleons and play rags-to-riches.
Gameplay guidelines.
Archetype progression.
Once a Sim completes an Archetype, they may not pursue another one. Within a household, only one Sim may actively work on their goals at a time.
Completing all Archetype goals frees a slot to unlock and start a new one.
If a Sim dies mid-progress, you can continue as a ghost or have another Sim take over. Cheat goal progress for the successor as needed.
Population & governance.
Your kingdom can have as many households as you like, but you are limited to 5 active Archetypes at any given time.
New Archetypes can be claimed by members of the Founder’s household or by moving in new citizens to fill the roles.
You must have a designated ruler at all times. You may pass the title to an heir or shift power to a different household.
Economy & expansion.
Every Sunday in-game is Royal Tax Collection Day. Add a holiday to your in-game calendar as a reminder.
All members of an active Archetype household can contribute to funds for tax collection.
Expand your realm by reinvesting collected taxes into new districts. Use these funds to construct a variety of community lots that fulfill the citizens diverse needs.
Completing the challenge.
Fulfill all goals for at least 10 different Archetypes.
Fulfill all goals for your current Ruler and ensure they are at least a Young Adult.
Complete all the specific building requirements for both Archetype Residences and the Royal Estate.
Build or place at least one functional lot for each of the eight Royal District categories.
Archetype goals.
Ruler goal requirements.
Complete any aspiration.
Max out any 2 skills.
Earn three reward traits.
Optional: Complete one collection
A career is not required since their income comes from taxes, but any career can be chosen if desired.
Archetype goal requirements. You must fulfill all goals for at least 10 Archetypes.
Achieve one of the following: reach level 10 in a career, run a business (at least 4 stars), earn Simoleons in an Archetype-related way
Complete one aspiration.
Max out 2 skills.
Earn three reward traits.
Optional: Complete one collection.
Goal recommendations. The two tables below provide goal recommendations for careers, skills, aspirations, and collections.
All Archetypes. These suggestions will help you get the most out of a variety of packs and show how you can play the Archetypes. Feel free to swap out any goals for similar ones from the packs you have.
Archetypes 1-13. Some Base Game alternatives specifically chosen for Archetypes 1-13.
Royal tax collection.
Every Sunday in-game is Royal Tax Collection Day.
Determine the levy. Roll a six-sided dice or use a random number generator. You may also pick one tax rate to collect week-to-week. 1 = 10% , 2 = 20%, 3 = 30% , 4 = 40% , 5 = 50%, 6 = 60%
Assess the wealth. Sum the total funds from all households currently pursuing an active Archetype. Only these "active" households are subject to taxes.
Collect the coin. Calculate the total tax owed from the combined wealth. You can decide how to split the burden—take it all from one house, or distribute the cost across the realm.
Adjust the coffers. Visit each household and use the [Money X] cheat or Mods to reset funds to the adjusted amount. (See “Helpful Links” if you are unsure how to do this.)
Track the treasury. Move the collected funds to the Ruler’s household or track it manually. This is your budget for funding all new kingdom lots and expansions.
Citizen residences.
You have full design freedom, just ensure the lot reflects the lifestyle and household needs of your Archetype or Ruler.
Every home must include functional areas for cooking, dining, lounging, sleeping, and hygiene.
An outdoor area (backyard, garden, courtyard, or balcony) is required for all residences.
Residences can be on any lot within your kingdom. A larger lot size is recommended for the Royal Estate.
The Royal Estate.
Must have at least 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Must have a dedicated throne room for the Ruler.
The total value must reach at least §60,000.
Archetype residences.
Must have at least 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom
A specialized room or dedicated area must be built for every Archetype living in the household (e.g. a workshop for the Maker or a study for the Scribe).
The total value must reach at least §30,000.
Royal infrastructure.
Your kingdom must establish at least one lot for each of the following eight Royal District categories:
Aquatic Docks. Specialized territories providing access to the realm’s waters, including public pools, beaches, and docks for fishing or nautical exploration.
Culinary Quarter. Destinations where the fruits of the land are prepared and shared, ranging from local cafes to formal banquet halls.
District of Revelry. Centers for performance and nightlife, such as vibrant lounges and taverns that provide social energy and amusement.
Public Commons. Versatile hubs for ceremonies like weddings or funerals, as well as community needs like local schools or community gardens.
Royal Archives & Galleries. Sanctuaries of knowledge and creativity where citizens honor the kingdom’s legacy through fine arts and history.
Royal Fairground. Expansive outdoor parks and indoor activity centers designed for leisure, play, and neighborhood recreation.
Wellness Retreat. Quiet venues and training grounds focused on the physical strength and mental restoration of the citizenry.
Trade District. The economic heart of the kingdom where merchants and artisans sell specialized goods and services that cannot be found elsewhere.
The table below provides lot recommendations for each category.
Businesses and special lots.
Small Business or Custom Venues are permitted if they fulfill the lot's intended purpose.
Sims may own businesses aligned with their Archetype, but they must be located on a separate lot from their residence to count toward kingdom development.
You are encouraged to repurpose special or hidden lots within the various worlds.
Construction and completion.
Choose between placing Gallery builds, renovating existing lots, or building from scratch on any lot.
A “Royal District” lot is officially completed if it meets all Lot Type Requirements, fulfills its category description, and reaches a total value of at least §30,000.
Funding requirements.
Gallery builds. Cover the full cost of the structure from your treasury upfront.
Renovations. Treasury funds must cover the lot’s current value, but additional improvements can be financed progressively.
New builds. Ensure you have enough treasury funds for the empty lot, then expand the building as your treasury resources grow.
I am hoping to start doing some floor plans converted for building in The Sims 4. I want to keep them pretty simple and easy to follow for players who want to improve their building skills or anyone who needs some build inspo. This is the first one I made from a shell I built a few days ago. I included examples of three quick builds in different house styles that I made with the shell.
For 2026, my goal was to bring back turning some of my builds into simple floor plans. I have updated some things on the first, and only one, I created more than a year ago. Hoping to make many more💖
