Reality Warp + Rei becoming a McKima's employee and begrudgingly having to serve a german blob -
The alternate reality. One where those pilots got to have a normal upbringing instead of the trials and tribulations they all faced in the original timeline. Well, normal in relation. 'Cause, how else do you explain the obesity epidemic facing Japan?
At the source of this weighty wave we find Ayanami in all her -- glory?
The mid-twenties wage-slave doesn't resemble her other selves. For instance she actually wears an expression on her face, always having a sullen look in her eyes, trying to hold back her scowl as customers get up in her face and scream at her from giving them a XXXXXXXXXXL drink instead of a Super-sized XXXXXXXXXXXXXXL cup. Second being, of course, the elephant in this room full of beached whales: Her weight.
Despite standing several feet back the bluenette's belly brushes up against the counter, nearly toppling over the cash-register jampacked with ¥1000s; her uniform polo working overtime to cover it up to no avail. The article of clothing that quit the job early today would be her work jeans that CLING onto her lardy legs, with ripped holes widening in size as they audibly groan, leaving little to the imagination. They might as well be classified as jorts at this point.
The funny thing about all this is that she got a warning by her manager for being underweight, "promoting 'fitness' values we don't appreciate at McKima's". Which explains the fry or twelve dangling from her mouth.
Anywho, on top of Ayanami's " "beginner" " belly is a meal tray, yet from a bird's eye view you wouldn't be able to tell. How so? Well, it's McKima's of course. A simple ¥750 meal can envelope the entire platter full of greasy, heartstopping goodness... With a drink of your choice of course!!
"Mein GoooooooOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRPPP!!~ ... Goot! W'hhat tookh ya sho longeh, Whondherr girl? Y'hou.. haaaah.... waahnt mah t'ho b-bechomah shkin annd b'honee jussht layke youh?! G'hhodh!! S'htill shoo pahthhetick a'hftah a'hll thhese yyears, hmppfh."
Despite the many years that've passed by it seems like our loathed #10 customer still holds a grudge all the way back from, what, College? High school? Middle school even? Rei currently can't recall when she first met the driving cause of her work-related migraines...
