âRamona.â He could only manage to whisper her name, another tear of happiness streaking down the crinkles of his cheeks as he smiled. With a brief clearing of his throat, he apologized, leaned in, and kissed her like heâd never get to kiss her again⌠at least with one hand placed on the small of her back and the other gently cradling her neck. When he came up for air, Emirâs hands found hers and he looked into Ramonaâs eyes- the two of them seemingly in their own bubble despite an audience, and he whispered to her, âand my soul is yours.â
He couldnât be sure if she heard him over the sounds of their cheering family, but as the officiant announced them as Mr. and Mrs. for the first time he finally pulled his eyes away to see the crowd. Both his brother and sister we smiling at them, cheering with glimmering eyes. âI hope youâre ready to wear out your shoes, darling wife. I plan to dance with you all night.â Emir wiggled his shoulders at her and laughed. âOnly breaks are for cake.â
Ramonaâs hands held Emir by the shoulders as they kissed one another, and her enthusiasm matched his, so happy to finally be kissing her husband ââ It had been a long time coming, and it was so beautiful that it all came to this. She giggled as they pulled away, smiling happily as she went for his hands went he went for hers, interlocking their fingers, smiling and nodding her head at his words, leaning forward and pressing her forehead against Emirâs, enjoying the moment for a while. They walked down the aisle, Ramona less emotional and more happy, waltzing off as she pulled Emir along with her.
Ramona was pulled away for Emir for a moment to change into her reception outfit, which was the same wedding dress, with an flower crown in her long, wavy flowy hair and different accessories. She saw Emir standing with his groomsmen as the music started, going up behind him and wrapping her arms around him. âI was promised a dance. Letâs go.â She smiled, letting him go so he could turn around.Â

The moment she saw him, Zareen felt her guilt build even more. She could see his hair was wet and he was dressed down, surely getting ready to rest at such a late hour. Usually his little jokes would cause her to playfully roll her eyes, especially the more inappropriate ones, but with everything that happened with the press leaving her shaken up, the nurse could hardly even muster up the energy to even fake it. It must have been pretty obvious to Tony as well as his demeanor seemed to switch the moment he took a good look at her and he reached out to her, asking what was wrong. She glanced down, almost ashamed to be there. âIâm sorry, Tony. I know itâs late and I should have called but I wasnât sure where else to go and I didnât want to go home. I was too nervous that they would follow and find out where I live⌠I panicked and just had my coworker drop me hereâŚâ her words came out in quick succession, almost like a child trying to explain their way out of getting into trouble, not even realizing she hadnât even mentioned specifically who she was speaking about. Finally her gaze met his again and she gave him an apologetic look as she glanced him over again, âI hope I was not interrupting anything.â
âSorry? Sorry for what, itâs always a good time when I get to see you.â Tony might have sometimes been socially awkward, less because of his ability to empathize and more because he was often focusing on himself over others. But even he could see the way Zareen looked down, either sad or embarrassed, and his ears perked up with concern over what was going on. âWho is they?â He wondered, moving up to her when she finally looked into his eyes. He wrapped his arms around her, peppering kisses to her cheek before he spoke into her ear. âWhatâs going on? If you tell me, I can fix it.â He pleaded. As it had just happened, nothing about what went on had posted yet, so Tony wouldnât have known even if he had been plugged in. âWas someone following you? Do you remember how they looked?âÂ

Whatever he wanted to say, Rennata didnât feel like chatting in public like the last time just in case the conversation was followed by an argument. While she moved out of the apartment they shared, her neighbours were people whoâve known her and Noel for a while and had seen their past slits one too many times. âSure, yeah.â Ren nodded, moving from the door to let the man in, a small smile tugging the corner of her lips as she sighed. âI have the feeling Iâll never be able to turn you away, Noel.â There was clear honesty in her voice, she didnât try to mask it. She was always a firm believer that people were drawn together for some reason, and if Noel was supposed to be a constant in her life, Ren accepted it. âIâve got⌠coffee, tea⌠wine. Some other stuff, too.â She told him as an invitation.
Noel turned and swore he saw a woman they used to live nearby that gave him a nod and he did a double take before he nodded back, paying his attention back to Ren. âClearly. Should have the second I showed up.â He joked, letting himself in now that she was moving out of the way. âOhââ Youâre giving me options? Didnât think I deserved options,â he teased, though his voice seemed serious. After his stint getting frustrated and blowing up yesterday in the middle of town, he didnât think Renn would let him in, and if she did, he wasnât expecting something to drink. âIâll just take a cup of tea, please. How you used to make it?âÂ
writermusesâ:
âMaybe just a little. Youâre so beautiful, my angel.â He wiped away the tears on the back of his hands before taking hers and thanking her father. His smile only grew when Ramona apologized for nearly kissing him, he certainly hadnât been about to stop her. Not seeing her since the rehearsal dinner left him aching for every inch of closeness to her, as it always did when they were breathing the same air. It wasnât lost on him that his current contract with the military was wrapping and heâd finally decided to weigh his options, a conversation for another day but Ramona had always been the only thing to anchor him, living and long gone. As much as he loved his family and hers, the military had given him a stronger sense of self and independence. People died everywhere, mortuary work was a wide open field, all sheâd need to do is pick a place she wanted to call her oasis and that thought alone made him smile wider.
Listening to the service, eyes on Ramona, Emir periodically found himself mouthing the words âI love youâ to his soon-to-be wife. As they exchanged rings, he took a deep breath and tried to calm his excited nerves. He hadnât written his own vows for a few reasons; he was a textbook introvert, it seemed easiest for translating the service for both of their families, and he liked tradition. The thing was, he had his own vows for her but only for her, waiting to be shared in private later that evening. When his brother passed him the ring box containing his wedding band for Ramona, the manâs love of tradition was all the more evident. The thin band had diamonds slipping entirely around it, each one from his grandmotherâs initial wedding band. He looked from the ring to Ramona, eager to see her reaction as he took her hand and began to repeat after the officiant. Heâd been making it through the words just fine, a soldier through and through- or so he told himself. That was, until he said those two words, âI do.â Smiling the biggest smile, Emirâs vision momentarily blurred as the happiest of tears streaked his cheeks once more.
It felt surreal to be standing here, marrying someone she knew loved her deeply. Ramona had lived a privledged life in terms of finances, with education, with physical care. But sheâd lacked much affection from busy parents. sheâd felt early on that her life would be a life for her to live on her own, and even if she did find someone, she feared she wouldnât have a connection with someone that felt meaningful. To be with the man in this way was something that felt so surreal, but sheâd show that to him when it was just the two of them. For now, she was more excited than anything ââ So giddy with excitement of spending the rest of her life with this man that she couldnât be emotional just yet. Her true feelings were something for only him to enjoy.Â
Sheâd give the man a small squeeze to Emirâs hand periodically, to let him know that though she was listening to the words of their priest, her attention was on him. Again, Ramona opted out of vows for the sake of leaving her true feelings simply for Emir when he was her husband ââ She was the extraverted of the two but some things needed to be private, that she knew. All she did was add something special to the end of the typical vows, saying it in Turkish like Emirâs sister taught her, accent not perfect but it was evident she had practiced. âEven after death my soul will still be yours,â she told him, because she didnât like the idea of death doing them apart. Ramona was only emotional when she saw the ring properly, looking down at her feet to compose herself before she was looking back up. When their I doâs were said and Ramona finally had permission, she took Emirâs face in her hands, world around them disappearing. âIâm going to make fun of you for all this one day,â she whispered, speaking of the tears as her thumbs wiped his face clean. âIâd kiss you, but I think it was you that was supposed to kiss your bride.â She teased.Â

ââ maybe he had dreamed the coffee, but she was still there. she was still beside him and it was comforting somehow. đđđ wasnât one to get easily attached to people, to things, but for some strange reason this felt familiar. maybe it was something on the way she began to treat him, the gestures she had, or maybe it was her warmth. he wasnât sure when or how mina became a safe house and a safe place. â hmm â he hummed because his brain tried to process the words. â sorry â he muttered a minute later. đđđ reached to the bedside table, tattooed skin accompanying him, but the phone wasnât there. he tried again, this time under her pillow, hand sliding under her as smoothly as possible. when he retrieved the device, he pressed the side button to lit up the creen. brightness made him squint his eyes some. 0 7 : 4 9 displayed brightly over the screen. â arenât you gonna be late? itâs almost eight â he said. â i can take you if you want â he said as he thought he also needed to get up. đđđ had an important deal to close today and he better shape himself back to the game. Â
she was surprised heâd spent the full night, that he didnât get up before she did and disappear into the night. she liked waking up next to him, she liked that for once, her bed wasnât freezing cold the second she woke up. she stayed close to him, watching him as he looked for her phone, grabbing her glasses from the other end side table and slipping them on as she wanted to see the time. âalmost eight?â she asked anxiously, taking a moment before she forced herself out of bed. âi start at 8:30. i should have left the house by now.â she walked through her room to find some clothes to go to work in. âcould you go turn ont he coffee machine? â

As applied and driven as Zeus was with his upcoming career as a professional basketball player, he was also a Kincaid, which meant he ocassionally indulged on vices. As a kid he swore he wouldnât smoke, drink or do drugs since leaving with addict parents had done the trick to keep him on the good path. But as he grew up, he realized that the fact his parents got drunk and high on a daily basis, it didnât mean it would happen to him. At twenty, he was doing more than fairly well.Â
And right now, with friends, at coachella, the last thing on Zeusâ mind were his shitty parents. He was high as a kite and enjoying the last day before he had to go back to his usual routine and focus on basketball again, which he didnât mind. He stopped when his friends did as they found friends of their own, making just one big group, and as they were all bumping fists in greeting, Zeus gotâŚmesmerized when his eyes fell on one of the girls from the other group. âYouâre⌠gorgeous.â He told her, eyes still wide as they looked at her from head to toes and a doopy smile on his lips.
This wasnât the kind of thing that Cory would do. She was an introvert who tended to hate large crowds of people, she hated loud music she didnât care for, and certainly didnât like being another warm body in a sea of sweaty young adults that were there for the aesthetic. But when a guy she slightly liked said she was going, Cory agreed to be part of the friend group that went to Coachella this year.
She hardly ever took anything but decided why not ââ It was her last summer before her first semester of gradschool and she wanted to enjoy a rare high. She had eventually veered away from the guy sheâd originally came here for when it was clear he was interested in a friend, sitting back on the grass in a bit of sadness when she heard someone talking and she opened her eyes, blocking out the sun. She smiled when she realized she was being spoken to, cocking her head to the side. âTalking to me?âÂ
ââ đŞđŽđťđ¸đˇ hadnât changed that much, or at least he thought he hadnât changed that much. yet, in reality, he had gotten used to faceless strangers and too much booze all around. he had gotten used to the different girls/boys that popped up on the lounge room before and after his concerts. it was all part of it, it came with the rapper pack. i guess, he cared and at the same time he didnât care at all. - today, it was no different, a bunch of people mingled with his staff and crew, drinking and partying somewhat. his band members here and there. all around loud and intelligible. regardless, đŞđŽđťđ¸đˇ was in front of her. undivided attention only became evident when someone tried to steal him away and he stayed. â do you admit iâm cool now? i told you i was â he teased her, following up to the conversation they were having before he got on stage. â i was cool back then too, kinda broke tho â he admitted as he continued teasing her, quickly taking a bite of pizza someone had brough over to him. he needed to recharge a bit of energy before he could think about moving and removing ariana and himself from that crowded space. - when she agreed to come see him perform live in their city, he couldnât help but admit to be excited about it. more so because it had been a bit since they had the chance to see each other beyond a screen. they had successfully remained in touch as đŞđŽđťđ¸đˇ grew busier and also throughout his tour, and i guess it was just their thing and their long lasting friendship. ft.@blucsuedeÂ
it had been a different kind of fame build up for ariana, and nowhere near the scope that aeron had had. when he had gotten into music, booze, and girls, sheâd gotten into the online creative space of digital design and then video game streaming. those in the space knew exactly who she was, anyone else was blissfully unaware of her presence. sheâd stayed put in her hometown even though she knew that moving to l.a. would give her more opportunity; she had always been more interested in a quiet life where no one cared about her when she didnât want them to. which is why it was interesting that sheâd kept a friend such as aeron for so long, as she tended to gravitate away from the overly charismatic, famous personalities. though his life had changed and perhaps aspects of his personalities, she was still well satisfied by their friendship. she even went to his show, given that he was finally back home, seeing him for the first time in a few years. she had come on her own, sitting back on the couch with her hoodie over her lap like a blanket, chuckling as it was evident every girl other than her in that lounge room was after aeron, when ariana was just after whatever theyâd get for dinner. âyouâre only slightly cool. but youâd be even cooler if you took me out to something other than pizza.âÂ

emery shrugged her shoulders. âanytime i ask when i get to meet your parents, you evade the question or try to make some excuse.â emeryâs never really been brought to meet someoneâs parents before. rahul being her first ever relationship, she had assumed that they were up to that point now. âso youâre either not ready for that, which fine i understand even though you never told me or because you know your parents wonât approve of my profession.âÂ
rahul hadnât noticed that emery had caught on to the way that he just glossed over the question each time she brought up his parents. rahul wasnât sure about where him and emery would go in the beginning ââ they clicked as friends but were so different he didnât think it would work, but somehow it did and he was so happy and comfortable with her, but was scared bringing his parents into it would ruin a good thing. âitâs not that iâm not ready...â he stood up from the couch in his apartment, going for a glass of water. âi donât want them to say the wrong thing. yeah, they wouldnât approve. i donât know like... how to navigate that.âÂ
rcsecolorâ:
lauren chuckled. âthe drawings and art arenât ready for the human eye. the only flowers i put on people are the ones clients have brought in to have it put on their body. youâd think id be good at all the shapes.â she smiled at emmy. âyes, i did it myself. i didnât do it with a gun. you ever heard of stick and poke? i donât recommend those things to anyone because itâs unsanitary. needle and ink. you just use dots to create what you want instead of at a tattoo shop where you can glide the needle smoothly.â they admired the shop around them as emmy was finishing up her order. âyou want a tattoo?â they asked. âyâknowâŚmy boss has this thing for kids where itâs fake tattoos. he uses temporary ink for it. kids love it. i could put one on you and see how you feel about it? if its a good feeling, i can gladly put a real one on you.â
âbecause youâre cute, i wonât insist you show me the art. but when itâs ready for the human eye, i better be the first one you show them to,â she playfully punched lauren on their shoulder. she had a hard time following at the phrase stick and poke but she got it when she said it was just a needle and ink. âmy father has one of those! he has it on his hand, of my mothers initial. technically it was his ex-girlfriends initial from when he was 15 and the boys would ink eachother at school, but lucky for him, he ended up marrying a woman whose name started with d so it worked out,â she chuckled. âi think i like that. where do you think i should put it?â she asked.Â
rcsecolorâ:
the femme nodded. she took her phone out from her back pocket and opened up the photos app. she looked through until she found a picture of her and her parents from a couple weeks ago. âhere.â she handed joseph her phone. âmy dadâs white, my momâs afro-latina. this was taken a couple weeks ago on their anniversary. my siblings and i decided to throw them a little dinner party to commemorate their marriage.â she then took wine opener from joseph and opened up the fresh bottle of wine. she poured it into their glasses before sitting down in front of joseph at the table. a soft laugh escaping her lips. âno youâre right. itâs stupid. ive been working for her for like 4 years or so. dealing with the absolute bull shit.â truthfully the money helped her in the long run. she was able to save and pay off most of her student loans. it was until joseph brought up his own offer. âw-what? you want me to work for you?â she turly wouldnât have minded. anything to get out of patriciaâs grasp. âi would literally love that.âÂ
seeing that she was taking out her phone for the photo, joseph did the same, doing a quick scroll to find his father and (step) mother relatively quickly, both at an event supporting him like they had always done. he mirrored her actions, handing her his phone, but he didnât explain like she did, which probably would have been good so she didnât think he was anything special other than european. âmmmm, this makes so much more sense now. you look so much like your mom. but i can see youâve got your popâs eyes...â he commented, looking up and down from the picture to her before he handed her phone back to her. sitting down at the table, joseph sat back with the glass of wine, taking a short sip as he waited for mia to take in his officer. âreally? thought youâd throw your plate of pasta at me,â he chuckled. âyouâre clearly a hard worker, i can see that. and iâve been in the market for a new assistant anyway,â he told truthfully. the last time he had an assistant was a couple years back and theyâd left to be with family, and joseph never did trust anyone else to take their spot. âhow you gonna break it to her?âÂ
rcsecolorâ:
âoh yeah it gets weird all the time. but im also thankful for him. he brought me back my brother yâknow?â never did she think that she would be reunited with her twin brother after all these years. she looked for him from google to social media. but eventually life got in the way and she didnât have the time to search anymore. she laughed softly. âif someone was gonna tell me the joseph connoway is my birth dadâŚi wouldve laughed in your face. the whole time the man iâve been idolizing since i was a kid is my birth father. the fact he was a guest speaker in my class and i had met him prior, itâs pretty wild. if only he had found me before, i couldâve used that tuition money. but the scholarships helped.â she chuckled. the femme then rolled her eyes at him. âi may be soft and emotional but iâm not that bad.â the pout still remained on her face for a bit. âme? sick of you? never. youâre the only person thatâs ever made me feel normal.â being a âchild prodigyâ had its ups, but a lot of downs. she was either bullied for being too brainy, taken advantage of for being that smart, or just felt like an outcast. âhonestly sebastian, i feel like youre the only person that just gets me and i can be myself around you. i canât say that about most people.â
sebastian nodded and smiled, feeling a weird sense of something that could only be described as jealousy ââ as someone who had never really had a family, it was like rae was living his dream; waking up and finding she had a whole other family waiting to love her if sheâs just let them. and plus, joseph had always been someone he admired greatly; he even kept an old copy of a time magazine he was in that he had signed at a school conference right under his pillow, as if it was good luck. âi literally canât imagine that,â he nodded, following her train of though. âoh? do i make you feel normal?â he asked in surprise, but the more he thought about it, the more it made sense. it didnât matter how smart she was, who her parent was, what kind of laugh she had. to the world she was mariah, to him, rae. âi feel the same about you. but you know that. i think... do you know that?âÂ
rcsecolorâ:
when she had dapped him up, he let out a laugh. âis that what you thought i was offering you? didnât think you were my homeboy.â after zara had dropped his hand, the male loosely draped his arm around zaraâs shoulders. âexactly. you didnât say anything about hoops. matter of fact you didnât mention any type of game that would allow you to win me tickets. skii ball is cool too. we can do that. but we are definitely doing hoops.â he said. leon smiled when she brought up his mom. to him, it was kinda cute that his mom and zara got along. âsheâs really good. my mom asks about you too. always wondering how youâre doing. and i would say if only sheâd respond to my texts sometimes then maybe i would know.â he was teasing of course. âshe hopes you can come around. matter of fact, sheâs coming over for dinner tomorrow. you maybe wanna come through so my mom knows youâre alive?âÂ
she shrugged at his words as if she didnât care to talk about it, as if it bothered her more than she let on, yet she leaned into him when he draped an arm around her shoulders, looking up at him as they walked, tucking her hair behind her ears. âskii ball first then, then we can go to the basketball hoops,â she nodded. she started towards the skii ball games, dodging kids and making sure she stayed close to leon ââ âwell maybe me and ms. katherine wouldnât have to miss eachother if youâd take me to see her more often. but youâre too busy with other people, arenât you?â she rolled her eyes, taking a somewhat subtle dig at him before she ducked under his arm once they were at the skii balls, putting in a couple tokens into one of the machines. âi can do tomorrow,â she nodded, taking a ball and rolling it up the ramp, not getting it into any of the slots. âshould i come earlier to help you cook? or are you ordering in?âÂ
rcsecolorâ:
âoh? would you be jealous if i was someone elseâs sugar mama?â she questioned, grinning. the grin was removed from her face when he had kissed her and it was replaced with a smile. âi donât have issues with the way you dress!â she held her hands up in defense as she broke out in a fit of giggles. âyou dress beautifully. i just think everyone needs a variety of clothes and since i like clothes and have too much of it, why donât i go ahead and buy you more fits and have you looking so fresh.â the femme pecked his lips. âa couple of good suits maybe. every man needs at least once good suit. câmon. youâd be the coolest psychologist on the block with your nice ass suits.â
âmight be willing to snap someones head off if you start doing all this with them and not me. or them and me ââ itâs me or no one, babes.â he teased her, shaking his head at her. âoh yeah? because you keep buying me all this stuff, making my closets overflow, yet you tell me you donât have a problem...â he joked her, smiling against her lips when she pecked his lips, interrupting her with one more, longer kiss before he let her talk. âmhm, well, as much as i want to walk into every meeting fully suited up... I donât need my clients falling in love with me. but, if youâre gonna start being a sugar mama, i might just have to find someone.âÂ
rcsecolorâ:
lily had heard footsteps coming from downstairs. joseph being an early riser and her being a light sleeper sometimes didnât go hand in hand. but living with joseph was a blessing as well. he had allowed her to stay with her while she saved up the funds to get a place of her own. the salary she was making barely covered rent in the city but with what she saved up so far, it could hold up for a bit. the femme went downstairs and let out a yawn when she walked into the kitchen to see the fridge door open. âyou think you can make me an omelette? i appreciate it.â she said. when he had responded, she rolled her eyes. âis it freaky friday all of a sudden? im joe and youre lily? alright, iâll play along. lily can you please make me an omelette? itâs the least you can do i thinkâŚ.because wellâŚ.i said please.âÂ
adrian realized that it wasnât joseph with one of his soundbites or voicemails from lily and it had him freeze up for just a moment before his asshole, smug persona crept up and he turned to look at lily with a puffed up chest and cocky smile. âsince when have you known me to be a cook?â adrian asked, feeling an intense anxiety in his chest ââ lily had been the one who got away, and now she was standing in front of him. but he didnât look bothered, he looked cocky and annoying, like he didnât care though he did. âhow have you been, lily? back with my brother, aye?â
