I’m craving casual domination so bad. Tie my hands together and cuddle me while we watch tv Tell the waiter my order without consulting me Speak to me in a stern voice Hold my hand in a leading manner Stop asking me what I want Just Put me in sub space and keep me there Please
I love when he says things like this.
No place better than in your Daddy’s arms…
Partner
Find yourself a partner who calls you their “Partner”.
PARTNER is a powerful word.
It implies a heightened level of CHOICE. It implies a heightened level of CARE. It implies a heightened level of CAMARADERIE.
Yes, they are your DOM, or your SUB, but also remember they are your PARTNER.
YES to all of the above.
Years ago when I called Daddy my “partner” instead of my “boyfriend,” he didn’t like it. He felt partner had a clinical, detached implication, like partner in a law firm. I shared with him that there were two reasons I used it.
First, because by using something without pronouns attached, I was trying to contribute to creating inclusive spaces for others. If I used partner to reference my opposite sex/gender partner, then it would hopefully help create spaces where using the word “partner” didn’t automatically out someone by equating it with LGBTQ+ identities. Over the years I have had students ask me about why I use partner when I’m straight, which allows me to talk with them about being in a heterosexual relationship but identifying as bi/pan, and about what it means to me to be an ally/accomplice.
Second, because to me partner implied equity, it implied co-ownership, it implied being in it together. It doesn’t really even imply, it’s part of the definition. As a verb, to partner with someone means to associate with them, to work together with them, to consider them in your choices. As a noun, partner means you are connected to one another, you belong in some small (or incredibly large) part to them and they to you.
He began calling me his partner after that conversation, and it has informed the growth of our partnership into what it is today, and what it will become tomorrow.
Partner IS a powerful word because it implies a powerful CONNECTION.
