He hummed softly, his cheeks a soft shade of red. “ I’m sure they are. “
‘‘Your..going to sleep here..right?’‘
“ Of course I am darlin’, I ain’t gonna leave ya. “
He looked away. ‘’Hm..Good..’’
“ Never dreamed on leavin’ you darlin. “ Jess hummed and placed his lips onto the archer’s temple.
Hanzo smiled softly and flopped back onto the bed. ‘’Mm..come here..’’
The cowboy raised an eyebrow but did as told, slipping his body to fit beside the archers.
The archer moved to try and wrap his arms around McCree. ‘’If Genji saw you..he’d kill you’’ He chuckled sleepily.
“ But he ain’ here now is he? “ The man mused softly, his flesh hand snaking around Hanzo’s waist.
‘‘He’ll find out eventually..’‘ Hanzo looked at him with half open eyes..
“ Well, he’ll figure it out later. “ Jess hummed, brushing his lips against the other man’s forehead.
‘‘Hm..Can..we keep this on the down low for a while?’‘
“ If that’s what you’d like darlin’, of course we can. “
‘‘Thank you Jesse..’‘ Hanzo yawned, looking embarrassed. ‘‘I am..not normally this tired..’‘
“ It’s alright darlin’, go to sleep. Me an’ yer noodles will watch over you. “ The man hummed softly.
‘‘..Okay..thank you..again’‘ He tried to cuddle closer to him, closing his eyes the archer quickly fell asleep.
“ He’s always so wiped. “ The cowboy mumbled, swiping a stray hair from the archer’s face. “ At leas’ he can res’ easy now. “
When Hanzo woke up the next morning he groaned slowly opening his eyes flinching as they adjusted to the sunlight.
Jess was laying right beside him, his dark brown eyes focused on the ceiling. It appears as if he didn’t sleep at all, the circles that clouded under his eyes giving it away.
‘‘J..jesse?’‘ The man sounded confused and surprised. ‘‘You..really..stayed..’‘
The man turned his attention to the one beside him and smiled lazily, leaning down and placing a kiss onto his partner’s forehead. “ ‘Course I did darlin’. “
‘‘You look exhausted..’‘ Hanzo slipped his hand into Jesse’s. ‘‘Did you sleep at all?’‘
“ Nope, I told ya I’d watch over ya. “ His voice was laced with sincerity, his nose nuzzling into his partner’s hair.
‘‘You shouldn’t have stayed awake..it is not healthy’‘
“ I don’t mind, as long as you’re safe at the end of it all. “
‘‘I mind Jesse, I do not want you to get ill..’‘
“ I’ll sleep tonight darlin’, promise. “
‘‘You better, sleep will help your leg heal..’‘ Hanzo looked at him. ‘‘Does it still hurt?’‘
“ It’s better. Still sore. “ He mumbled, leaning back against the pillows.
‘‘Is there anything I could do to help?’‘ He moved to rest his head on Jesse’s chest.
“ Get me some pain killers darlin’? “ He hummed, running his fingers down Hanzo’s back.
‘‘Alright’’ The archer got up, flinching a little. ‘‘I think I have some here..’‘ He walked over and started searching through his drawers.
The gunslinger watched with lazed eyes, his lips pursing when he noticed the archer flinch. He didn’t speak though.
‘‘They..are pretty strong..’‘ He cleared his throat, handing them over to him.
“ They ain’t gonna render me useless right? “ He joked, popping the pills into his mouth and swallowing them without liquid.
‘‘No..but they will numb just about any pain..so be careful’‘
“ Fair enough darlin’. I’ll be careful. “
