I know people get irked with Carl, but I love the kid so much. He’s changed drastically, he’s been through a lifetime’s worth of terror in just a little while. I honestly really loved that this episode was a lot of him. For once we get to see what it’s like for a reckless preteen in the apocalypse. Watching him take care of his dad and just going out to explore made me so proud of him. The little moment when he’s on the roof with the pudding melted my heart. he really is just a kid
Rick loves him so much and it didn’t seem fair for Carl to say those things to him, but I understand why he did. Even when he was saying it, I knew he still loved Rick so much, that was proven when he started sobbing towards the end. All in all, beautiful episode, beautiful character.
