last weekend we strung helium balloons on his belt loops and took a balloon walk.

Coffee table books. Yay/Nay? Here's why I think they're awesome, and what's on mine today. http://bit.ly/1RXKUmN
Yesterday I wrote about the 1990s teen in me that's still in love with #Converse and how we're still nailing in with class and sass in our 30s. http://bit.ly/1GPdDoA
Instead of dwelling in misery and self-pity, I sought out on a mission to discover my 'true passion'. http://bit.ly/1L5urgf
Today I'm thankful for patience that comes from above, when mine wears out. For love that engulfs me when loneliness sets in. For a healthy body, even when I haven't done my best in looking after it. For the promise of eternity with a God ever so faithful.
It's so rare that I catch him in a serious moment.
Sitting in my 4-year old's room and taking in a quiet moment before the day begins. I started the year by asking Him to completely take over my life. Every nook and cranny be for His wondrous purpose in me. Fully knowing and embracing the whatcomemays as He polishes me and my ways. It has been tough at times, especially when my faults and shortcomings were laid in front of my eyes to analyze. These days I feel Him leading me to step out of my comfort zone. Face those who have hurt me plentiful of times. Face those whom I have hurt. People who still are hurting me. Yet He gently reminds me that His only commandment is to love. So I'll step out today knowing come what may, He is for me, and so nothing can come against me.
Today I'm thankful for things money can't buy. Relationships, forgiveness, and love from a saviour. Oh, and Fridays.
How does one teach a mother tongue that is neither native to your mother nor father? Oh well, my parents did it for me by learning a language they barely knew. Plus there's Philippians 4:13. I can do this!

I tried to explain death to my 4 year old last weekend as I prepped him for my cousin's funeral. He asked me why my aunt looked so sad, and I told him it was because her son was no longer on Earth and has gone to be with Jesus. "But why?" "I don't know, baby." I was weary of the 20 questions that might have followed. Instead he said he wanted to draw my aunt a card. Clouds in the sky, grass on the ground, and a stick figure on a cross. "Jesus paid it all. Uncle is happy with Jesus." No wonder he can be so full of himself somedays. He knows how much he's loved.
never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. #scrapbooking cards / mini tags: http://bit.ly/1E2L844
There weren't flowers, breakfast in bed, or lovingly scrawled out cards this Mother's Day. Instead, I spent the eve of it at the bedside of my eldest cousin in the hospital, and eventfully watched him draw his last breath. Sunday was spent at his wake, and a rather exhausted me slept most of the evening and night away. I never have been close to this cousin of mine, but his mum has a soft spot in my heart for the way she loves people. As I watched her weep, pray and comfort her son that night, I learnt a little bit more on what it was to be a mother.
Spotted this beautiful motto on @confettisunshine and it's love, love, love!
