Character aesthetic series: the book worm
“…A room without books, is like a body without a soul.”

sharp green eyes scanned over the man in front of her, noting the stubble and the muscular build he had been so nicely gifted with. he was cute, aless noted to herself. sexy in a veyr understated, somewhat bookish way. a quiet hum escaped her, head tilting to the side before letting her scarlet lips curl up into a faint grin. “yeah, nice to meet ya, too.” the brunette offered, smoothing out the little black dress hugging her figure before clicking the heel of her shoes lightly against the floor. “do i gotta give you a run-down of how things here work? we can walk and talk? you should get your things.” aless’s tone was light and conversational, hardly as commanding or bossy as most masters within bates tended to behave. she tucked the file under her arm, straightening slightly. “i just wanna show you my cabin and shit, just in case you think it’ll be nicer there. you’re free to stay here in the dorms, though. if, you know, that’s what you want.” a nonchalant shrug lifted her slim shoulders. “i’m really not all that picky.”
Blaise let his gaze run over her with a small smile. She was beautiful if he was being honest, almost dangerous in a way from the way her dress hugged her slim figure to the way her heel clicked against the floor obviously waiting for his response. Blinking as his gaze flickered back to hers nodding before grabbing his book, honestly not really all that attached to the other items that he’d been given. “A run down would be great actually, they don’t really provide a frequently asked questions brochure do they?” He was already moving to follow her if she wanted to walk and talk giving her another smile.
“I’m pretty good at walking and talking if you want, lead the way?”

“You’ve got that right,” he said under his breath, trying once more not to think of the circumstances that had brought him here. “Wow. Obnoxiously long - how obnoxiously long are we talking?”
Flashing the other man a grin and running his hand through his hair. “Well you know how they always say things like long enough to make your point but you know they really mean please hand in a small tree.”

“You said you didn’t see me,” she remarked, her argument a little more childish than she expected it to come out. One hand raising to place it on her hip, she tilted her head to one side as she questioned leadingly, “Are you saying that I have no presence or that I’m small?" She was more than okay physically speaking but she didn’t bother enunciating that.
Shaking his head slowly just watching the other woman red flags already going off subconsciously trying to keep him from saying the wrong thing. Not that he usually listened to those warnings. “What? No I wasn’t really paying attention that’s all. I’m not trying to say anything.” He said with a little more bite than was probably necessary gazing at her.

“Adoption can be tough. Were the people who adopted you good people?” Vanessa wondered, arching one of her eyebrows back up to him.
Giving her a look, honestly not surprised by the question. She was therapist and he’d been asked about how happy his family had made him to many times over the years to assume she was asking for any other reason than because it’s probably part of her job. “They’re amazing, they’re really amazing people. They never treated me like I was anything other than their son.”

“no, it’s all yours, not a problem.” he even was nice enough to scoot over a little bit to give the other a little more space, not having to be all sprawled out like usual. "bored, unbelievably, who’d have thought around a place like this right?“
Laughing out loud as the other man moved over. “From what I’ve seen so far, this place is full of surprises and contradictions. Though I’m sure if you’re that bored someone somewhere would be willing to entertain you.” He finished with a smirk leaning back into the couch.
My kink is reading for 5 hours straight without any interruptions.
