“Was that suppose to be a joke?” He asked as his eyes remained on the other person for a long moment before he blinked, looking away for a second as he offers a small and uneasy smile. He didn’t quite understand human humor but provided he was coming a LONG way from where he had been when he first arrived in the realm. “You’re a real comedian.” But it comes off sarcastic instead of sincere as Ben had hoped.
“If I was telling a joke, it would involve you since our life is so funny.” She snorted, having sensed the sarcasm in the taller’s voice. The demon was not sent to Earth to entertain useless humans (if he was even one) nor was it to tell jokes to amuse so of course she was delighted to find a face of disinterest when it came to a sense of humor. “Besides, isn’t it a little too early for your tone? No need to be a mood killer.”
