Smoke knew he was running out of food. There are only so many people in the city you can kill for the âgreater goodâ until the only one left to kill is yourself.
He knocked on the door of the tgg. It heard major event happened but hoped it wasnât something that will gather this Updikeâs attention. It would be rather difficult for him.
(To be fair that'd be really fucking funny-)
It was certainly a slow day at the office. Most people had left by this point, it was already past closing time after all. It was just Updike and a few stragglers left at the moment, which is why the CEO was able to hear the knocking, lifting his gaze from the paperwork on the desk, to the door. Hm.
Well, it'd be rude not to attend them now, open times be damned. With that thought in mind, they walked over to the door, opening it. Seeing another cloud man there didn't really surprise him, but the almost cube-like features of the stranger's fluff did.
"... Can I help you?"
Smoke nodded. âI can see that. Simplicity is nice. Fun that it was your first thought~â He tilted his head and grinned wide, but when he noticed it he immediately went back to a cold position.
âSo, want to discuss more of this in an office or so?â
Updike arched a brow at the other's sudden expression shift, mentally taking it into account as yet another difference between the two. He wouldn't describe it as child-like, though they're certain some might. Energetic, perhaps? It fit better. Yes, Smoke was rather energetic, lively. Not something that cloud particularly was, but not unwelcome. It made the situation of working with an alt of himself a bit less awkward.
"That would be for the best, yes."
He started to walk, making a little motion for Smoke to follow.
Red stumbled into view, stained with blood and the strange black liquid the fold seemed to be made of. Her eyes like flowing silk as her pupils flicked to Whitty. âD-dad?â - @forcefully-employed
Whitty leaned against the wall, trying not to fall again. Getting mobility back into his stiff, protesting limbs was certainly proving to be quite the struggle, and he'd have almost missed Red if they hadn't heard her voice. Immediately, he straightened up, head craning to look at her. The former bombhead looked worse for wear, hair caked with dirt and knees somewhat bloody from how many times he'd fallen already.
"... Red?"
Was she ok? Was the blood theirs? Hopefully not.
Her wick sparked and crackled as she took in the state of him, the ground between the two quickly being covered in a dark black. She was at his side a moment later, hovering to make sure he didnât fall. âSsit down..â
And it couldn't have been a moment sooner, Whitty's legs giving out in him again as he wrapped an arm around Red's shoulders, managing not to fall, but to just stumble.
"Good idea.. Are you ok? You aren't hurt, are you?"
He knew that given his condition, the questions probably came across as hypocritical, but bomb really needed to know if Red was ok. The last thing he wanted is for her to be hurt while trying to take care of him, they'd feel terrible, and she should take care of herself first.

Of course Amara gets lost in this new city almost immediately. She got so used to the layout of that broken hellscape she came from that it shouldn't be surprising. She could only hope she found her way back before anyone saw her. For starters, the bloody bandages around where her eyes should be might get her some weird looks, but more importantly her very obvious tail. It was literally her eyes, but she didn't know people would react to it. Then again, the only person she's had any interaction with was her caretaker, and he's technically a demon.

"Virus, slow down-"
"Fuck that! We have to get there before he leaves- Oof-"
And Virus ran straight into Amara, stumbling back as to not fall on top of her. They were well aware of how heavy metal was, and it didn't particularly feel like crushing anyone into the ground. Hex gave him a light bap on the head, a silent 'I told you so.'
"Shit, sorry- Are you ok?"
Well, that all happened fast. One second Amara was wandering aimlessly, the next she was on the ground. It didn't hurt too much, though. Her pain tolerance was through the roof after all the experiments that were done to her in the past. She stood up, brushing a bit of dirt of her jacket.
"Yeah, I'm okay.."
Upon closer look, the girl's clothes had dirt and even dried blood in some places, her hair was messy, and of course, the goddamn tail with eyes. Her eyes, to be exact, but nobody needed to know that(besides,it wasn't by choice).
Virus took a second to take in her appearance, his lone eye narrowing at what he saw. Sure, he still wanted to continue sprinting, but now they were also somewhat interested.
"Woah- Geez, you definitely don't look it-"
The comment earned him another bap from Hex, which he just grumbled at.
"Virus! I'm sorry, he's a bit too... Blunt, sometimes. He's right though, do you need help?"
"Yeah! I've gotten really into Inanimate Insanity lately." -Rose Anon
"Oh, really? Nice, I've heard good things from that one."
Upon seeing that reaction, she carefully held him close to her before she rested her head against him. Luckily enough, she could get the joke and the reason for that, which she chuckled for a bit softly, giving her partner a soft smile as she didnât feel like leaving his side- or at least, she wanted to be there with him and the others as long as they are okay. âI donât know.. I can see you getting showered with lots of love and affection!â She managed to say, her tone being lighthearted as she was trying to return both the joke and the attempt of brighten the situation. In a way, his company make her..feel better, and more. And of course, she knew that she isnât good with jokes but- she wanted to try! As soon as she heard the oncoming sound and voice, she seemed to be excited, knowing well who are getting closer to them although she couldnât give Virus and Hex a wave due to having both of her hands busy. âAh- Darling and Hex will be here soon-â She managed to say, letting Whitty know as a precaution.
The former bombhead chuckled, simply leaning closer to her. He was still very cold to the touch, as a corpse was supposed to be, but they were slowly warming up as the time passed.
"They are?"
His head turned to the direction of the footsteps, getting a full view of Virus practically sprinting in, dragging Hex behind him like a rag doll.
"WHITTY-"
*Pop Anon listened, not stopping their hug as they rested their head on their Fatherâs chest. They were emitting a some low apologetic Pop sounds, even frowning a bit at theirselves for not being there to protect his father. But..He is alive now and- They shouldnât worry about something thatâs over!..Right?- but at the same time..Pop Anon couldnât even be here for his family..*
*Corruptionâs smile widened a bit at the way Pop Anon is both feeling and acting, finding that a bit amusing in a way. Itâs height is now 6â6, so It is at least more taller than Pop Anon. Although, Whittyâs behavior caught It off guard, having to let out a low huff and keep Itâs act. Honestly, It was kind of relieved to see him alive, but It didnât know how to show that yet nor if It should.* âYeah Yeah, whatever you say, Whitty. You are quite âluckyâ. ..Either way, I might as well have to help you with dog-thing over there.â *This was all It said, Itâs words probably being less..taunting in a way, maybe even a bit lighthearted at some point.*
"You can say that again. How... Am I even alive again?"
He doubted Corruption had more of an idea than he did, but it was worth asking. Besides, they hadn't talked to anyone since... Well, bomb's death. The former bombhead started to pat his kid's head, a small smile forming on his face.
Ah anyway since I should have sent this a while ago.
She's kinda just floating off to the side. Upside down with a neutral expression. Don't be fooled she's just trying to not have a breakdown. The bottle ain't breaking today.
"Welcome back to the land of the living." K oh my god- He cracks a small smile at the former bomb head.
"How ya feelin big guy? Been.... been a hot minute." Understatement of the year. -K

Whitty smiled, trying to shake off some of the dirt stubbornly clinging to his clothes.
"Mm, glad to be back. How... Long, has it been?"
Fuck, had it been a month? A year?
Noah was just walking along, thinking about what he should make for dinner, when he spotted Updike.
He thought about talking to him, but then realized that he might be doing part of his job. It would make sense considering Updike had left for work that morning.
Then again, maybe a quick chat wouldnât hurt. And if his brother really was busy, then Noah would leave him be.
With his mind made up, he started walking over.

Thankfully, he hadn't been tailing any anomalies, or Noah's interruption may have actually bothered Updike. Still, it did surprise him somewhat, turning to look at the other with a somewhat confused expression on his face. Had he seen him before? Not that he could remember.
"Uh... Yes?"
*Pop Anon nuzzled his father a lot, smiling slightly as they didnât mind how tight the hug is. They then gazed up at his face.*
Pop, Pop! Pop! Pop Pop? Pop, Pop pop?
*âWelcome back, Dad! Glad to see you! What happened? Are you, Dad and Uncle oki?â They managed to ask, emitting a few confused Pop sounds as well. Itâs been a while since they could exist and visit any places so..they were pretty much unaware of the things that happened here and the amount of time they couldnât be here. Pop Anon could try to know things by themselves, though!*
*Corruption formed Itâs body, no longer being a puddle of corruption. It stared at them, crossing Itâs arms. Luckily enough, It didnât have to look like Pop Anon anymore, or at least not at all.* âIt took you a while to be back but, welcome back, I guess.â
Oh. They didn't know. Whitty had to stop himself from wincing, just looking at Pop Anon for a second.
"I, uh... I died. But everything's alright now, don't worry."
He looked at the newcomer, eyes widening slightly in surprise, before bomb smiled lightly.
"Glad to be back."
She had a small soft smile on her face, although she had to take a small moment of silence when she heard that question, before having to shake her head a bit. âHex has been..in denial about this, and Darling didnât..take this well.â âąâSomeone had to stay strong for them. It could..be helpful to help them, though!..ââą Saro averted her gaze when she spoke, having to keep that comment in her mind. Eventually, she gazed back at her partner, just to give him a small reassuring smile and keep things positive enough. â..They will be happy to see you, though! I could make sure to keep them company and help however I could and- I made sure to let Red know that you are alive, he should be coming here soon as well.â She managed to say as an attempt to keep things good. She kept a gentle hold on one of his hands, and one of her arms wrapped around him to hopefully help him better. In a way, all she could do is wait for her other partner and friend to appear and help them all. âYou are going to do this well- Iâm sure of this!â She said cheerfully, waiting for him to be ready to take a step.
Oh. He figured that'd be their responses, Hex... Didn't take his mentor's passing all that well, from the little context clues he could gather. After all, the robot never talked about bot's issues, at least not of his own accord. Whitty grunted softly at that, frowning lightly. Hopefully they'd both be better once he came back home.
"Mhm. Really, I think I'll be lucky to be left alone for the next week."
It was clear he was joking, trying to make light of the situation they'd all just been through. It was hard to confront the fact you should still be dead. It wasn't long until loud, metal-like footsteps started to be heard, rapidly approaching.
"Hex hurry the fuck up I can see him-"
