Hi guys! It's been a while. 🧡

Okay, so I haven't been logged into this account or my main Tumblr since I dropped off on BA, but I've seen people still commenting on my fic through my email.

I'm still alive! I've been using a different tumblr account for something else I've been writing for a different fandom, but to everyone that sent me worried asks, I promise I'm doing okay even through these difficult times. I hope everyone else that reads this is okay too, all things considered.

I kinda didn't wanna write this at first. Looking back at some of the asks I've got in the backlog, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth (mostly in regards to the curt asks of "where's Ch. 60" in a, uh, less than tactful way), but I feel like you guys deserve some sort of a response regarding Bone Appétit so you aren't left hanging.

So at the moment, I'm not ready to return to this fic. That's not to say I will never return to BA, but right now I'm having a healthier time writing something else & I honestly would like to finish it before I return to writing this since it's been a really positive experience. I don't know when I'll come back, & I don't know if I'll spontaneously get struck by inspiration to slowly pick up the pace here, but hopefully people will still be interested when I come back.

If everyone's moved on by then, that's okay though. I just want everyone to know I'm doing better mentally and I really do appreciate how many of you read through Bone Appétit. I'm sorry I can't continue it right now, especially having left off on a painful cliff-hanger but I've definitely learned a lot since I went on hiatus. Lots of self-discovery (I'm non-binary! Yeehaw), lots of new writing techniques (I haven't stopped writing, trust me, I have ADHD and writing is my hyperfixation), and more art skills (I like digital painting!! And I know some people like to bash their own art, but mine rocks and it makes me happy, so I'm not gonna do that!! :D)

Anyways, this was unnecessarily long, but that's all, folks! Please stay safe, everybody. I'm gonna go drown myself in sweet, sweet wine and cuddle my meowing stinky fur babies! 👋🍷🌹

Yes, actively writing Bone Appétit again! There isn’t a weekly schedule or anything for it this time, I’m going to just try and upload whenever I have a chapter ready and done. That being said, I can’t wait to pick it back up again. Sorry for disappearing for three years! ^o^’

Alsoooo, now that I can draw moderately better than before and now that I have another drawing space to create, I can actually make some art for this fic :B If you didn’t want any art from me, it’s too late, now you must accept it.

Ch. 60 Teaser

Since y’all’s been waiting a long ass time, it’s only fair I throw you a bone. This is the beginning segment of the next chapter, short and sweet for your reading pleasure. Enjoy~ <33

Chapter 60: [Unnamed Chapter ATM]

The feeling of your heart jumping up to your throat is all you can register at first when the ground suddenly disappears beneath you. Your vision is fuzzy, hands clinging to a blue fabric and the bony arms beneath the sleeves of a jacket. The air in your lungs is gone and there's a block in your throat, one that you can't swallow down no matter your efforts to rid yourself of the pain.

You were falling, weren't you? But...there's no air whipping past you right now. There's no sensation of flipping nor the pull of gravity in any direction. It's just you somewhere you shouldn't be.

With Sans.

With Sans?                                                                                                          

You make an effort to try and open your eyes, until you can somewhat make out the face of Sans, who's panicked and trying to get your attention.

There's no sound...what a strange place. You don't like it one bit. It reminds you of that place in your nightmares where you see the creature you're not supposed to look at.

Yep, he's right here with you, and you can't help but look away at the void around you as you try to get your bearings. You can see other people...falling. Monsters and the few humans that were in Grillbyz with you and Sans are near and far, but as you stare, you notice something that makes the contents in your stomach churn.

The humans are fine other than that they're falling. You're fine.

As you watch the monster's fall though, you feel fear creep up your spine when you notice there's something trailing behind them.

What is that? It's getting hard to see...

You look up to try and find the light that's starting to get farther and farther away, only to see the blue glow of Sans' magic when your eyes end up stopping on him instead. Something is off about his appearance, and it's putting you on edge- a nagging feeling that there's something wrong based just on the panic still on his face.

And then you see it.

You reach out and touch the side of his face, panicking when the finest of dust transfers to your hand as a result. Looking at his face, you see he's building up his magic, and you open your mouth to say something.

There's no sound.

Sans is deteriorating and you can't even say anything to him, even though you're sure he notices his state.

Teleport! Hurry! You'll be okay! You're not sure he can hear you, and you definitely can't hear yourself speaking. It's starting to get darker around the two of you, leaving only the space around you and Sans glowing blue with the light of his magic.

You're scared for him, but you cling tightly to his hands and hope. You hope everything will be okay. You hope there's a way out. You hope you're able to leave with Sans and stop whatever's happening to him.

You can feel your heart pounding hard inside of you, followed by the hum of Sans magic as you feel it wrap around you, twisting reality in the usual way his teleportation jumps work.

Everything flips upside down.

Sans hand crumbles in yours.

And suddenly you're blacking out, landing hard in water.

Though i get it you dont trust a bunch of strangers when it comes to personal issues, but please understand that people out there care for you and only ever wish the best! Spend as much time away as you need to heal :)

Awe, thank you so much ;w; it's okay though, I'm coming back to finish this story properly- it's something very important to me and the only reason it was on hiatus recently is because my big dumb brain started associating my problem with Undertale and I was having a hard time focusing on it without getting anxiety on impulse. I'm definitely not quitting it though, and now that I can more or less look at my Tumblr full of Undertale stuff without feeling like my heart is gonna yeet straight out of my chest, I'm gonna go ahead and get Bone Appétit done! ♡♡♡ Thank you for the concern :')
