so can we start hunting down white liberals now or what
The full picture is even more heart breaking after you open the uncropped version. Just a heads-up, it's rough
“The Roman Catholic Parish in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan was just grafitted.”
Nah let’s post it. Let’s feel it. Don’t look away.
I notice alot of my followers on here skipping these posts just to mess with my lgbt ones, suspiciously the white popular ones.
Heres a not so friendly reminder, as an lgbt metis person, i dont give a single fuck what your blog is themed or if this is too painful for you to look at. Reblog this post. Reblog this post with the sources of the 751 children who were found.
Your compliance and silence as well as the compliance and silence of your ancestors is what allowed these schools to open and kill first nations children. The children of MY people.
Dont follow me if you cant reblog this post or the one with sources to your political blog or your most popular blog. Add trigger warnings if you must but if your political blog is only focused on the harms you personally face like being lgbt then you need to see some bigger pictures and stop being afraid of angering your racist mutural or actually saying some shit about racism. If you can reblog some antifa graphics or add blm to your bio to be a surface level ally, you can reblog some sources on the genocide first nations people faced and still face today.
They were CHILDREN.
They were murdered in cold blood.
I’d like to add this photo I took last night in Victoria of the statue of Captain Cook. Though I myself am not indigenous, I 100% agree that these murderers, kidnappers and rapists shouldn’t have huge statues and plaques that decorate them and say how “great” they were.
Here’s another photo of the legislative assembly from yesterday. Later on there were more items, candles and signs at the memorial, as well as a big poster with 1505 painted on it but I didn’t get a picture
People need to see this. Not just quickly glance at the photos and keep on scrolling. They need to see this.
Reblog this or just stop following me
I had seen the first picture of the church, but not the second.
I went to a “Cancel Canada Day” event and burst into tears - not because I was surprised to learn of the unmarked graves (survivors told us they were there. Our government pushed it aside, and we let them), but because seeing all the people gathered in mourning drove it home: They. Were. Children.
This is my country’s legacy - and it’s not history. The last schools closed during my lifetime. My Father went to school with students who lived at the local residential school, after it was changed to a boarding house (read: holding centre) for indigenous youth who went to local schools.
They were all children, injured, abused, and killed in my country’s attempt to erase them. I want the world to see this and hold the state accountable to *active* reconciliation> I mean we could at least truly adopt UNDRIP in action instead of words for god’s sake.
here you can read an article about a survivor of the church and some of the things he experienced to help put into perspective how awful and just how recent it was
this is the memorial at the vancouver art gallery. 215+ pairs of children’s shoes (as well as stuffed toys and flowers) cover the steps…
I recently got an on-campus job. During the interview process, I requested that I not be scheduled on Friday nights or Saturdays as I am a Jewish student.
My boss immeadiately brightened and rushed to explain - "Of course ! Of course! We want to accomodate you! We have another worker who takes off for Ramadan. Do you need to take off for Ramadan?"
I shook my head, incredibly confused. "Uh. That's. Not my jurisdiction. I'm good." Boss nodded but was sure to add "Let me know if that ever changes. We can help you with Ramadan."
@vangoggles THAT WHAT I WAS SAYING .
And I was finally on a shift with this guy. We were both sitting in silence because we had the ass-crack-of-dawn slot.
Over my coffee and twirling my Magen David necklace around my finger, I say "So. Ahmed. Ramadan.
And Ahmed over his energy drink, sighs - "don't you say shit about that."
#what's the bet Ahmed was just asking for certain shifts during Ramadan and Boss got excited and was like “just take the whole ramadan off!”#“don't even worry about it! we support you! take the time you need!” I'm scheduled to work with him tomorrow morning so will find out then 🫡 .We're both STEM majors who use the early empty hours to study so I will report if I get more than a grunt out of him about it.
another stupid-early morning, and between our respective course loads- him organic chemistry and me pathophysiology- I asked for the full story in how he got all of Ramadan off.
He sighed, and let me know that he did indeed try to explain to our manager that all he needed was to get shifts not around sunrise or sunset. But that in him explaining what Ramadan was, the plot very quickly got lost into this unhinged confusion where our boss was trying to google how people could survive an entire month without food or water.
So halfway through, he decided to pivot and go along with it, expecting less shifts in March because that's a difficult academic time anyway. Then, he had to keep a straight face when the end-product was the entire time off with paid leave.
So, now, he's in a hell partially of his own making where his boss genuinely believes he doesn't eat for a month and is trying to offer all non-Christian workers March off. I offered him time off for Hanukkah. He hit his head against the desk, and groaned.
What I find so funny about this post is that people refer to it as if it's ancient. "I see this post every Ramadan"- I made it in 2025.
Ahmed is graduating this Spring so is taking his last ever Ramadan paid leave. He's unhappy about that fact. Last week, my boss offered me Ramadan off again. And I had sincerely forgotten that he has no idea that he's a minor tumblr celebrity .
love island should introduce a "scheming eunuch" islander who is like a smart and completely asexual islander exempt from being kicked off or being made to participate in any challenges and they're just there to provide advice and be a sort of sounding board for the other islanders when they need a disinterested party to talk things through with. but the scheming eunuch has secret goals unbeknownst to anyone e.g. a cash prize for talking a certain couple into breaking up etc.
The Magnus Archives (Season One) Production Design Project
Hello everyone! Let me introduce myself- I'm Tilda (or Tilde), and I'm want to be a production designer.
Production designers create the overall look of a piece of media. From costumes, lighting, environments, props, etc., these designers make sure that everything looks cohesive and sets the mood.
So, I thought it would be fun to put my skills to the test by designing season one of The Magnus Archives. My winter break started as soon as I became interested in the show. Needless to say, a new obsession and an abundance of free time go well together.
You may have seen these illustrations posted separately, this is a master post of the whole project. My thoughts, processes, and critiques are all included under the cut. If you read them, I hope you enjoy! If, not, thank you for supporting my work regardless.

PSA to fan creators who don't have a lot of regular contact with children: They are almost always bigger than you think. A 1-year-old baby may already be walking. A toddler is likely already hip-high. A 10-year-old may already be taller than at least one of their parents. A 14/15 year old may already have reached their adult height.

Here's the link. It was actually not immediately easy to find, so I thought this might help.
Genuinely curious about how Oliver Banks feels about waking Jon up.
Like he spends so much of the series trying and failing to help people. He can't save Gertrude. He can't help Jane Prentiss.
He can't even save his dad.
He kills twenty people when he goes to Point Nemo
Then one day, after he's given into the End, given up on rescuing anyone, he dreams of Jon, finds him in a hospital, gives his statement. And Jon wakes up.
For ten years, Oliver's been haunted, cursed with dreams of people dying, unable to prevent it from happening. Until finally he meets Jon and he's able to help him.
And then Jon ends the world.
new OC for a one shot! beautiful pirate lady i love you and your unsettling fish eyes.
I imagine rocky puts grace's amnesia problems down as a "probably normal for humans, they forget stuff all the time" thing for a while and it doesn't set in until maybe a year into the erid trip that, no, losing straight up All of your memories for several months is just about as concerning and unusual for a human as it would be for an eridian. and his immediate reaction is twofold: 1. "you. you were that brain-unhealthy for the entire time we were working together and you just. barely ever mentioned it? Why. Question." 2. [sudden recollection of every time he got short of temper and said something bitchy like "lazy human not know how own ship function" or "how grace forget location of basic controls question"] [curls up on the floor in embarrassment] "should have said something so I not spend two months making fun of brain injuryyy"
#I KNOWWWWW i remember reading the line where he insulted him for not knowing how his ship worked and being like DUDE give him a break???#it's out of pocket regardless i mean he's the science specialist not an engineer or a pilot#but just. rocky#rocky....#rocky
No summer travel is complete without getting screwed over by Deutsche Bahn.
Remember when Lil Nas X beautifully explored his sexuality, seduced and killed the devil to the banger of all time, and instead of cheering on this openly gay and proud Black artist for his artistry and fighting back against respectability politics, suddenly said respectability politics was all the Queerest Place on the Internet cared about? Hm. Wonder what happened there.
Anyway I miss him and hope he's doing better with his mental health 🙏🏾
Like say what you want about "bad queer representation", but this was the song that made me openly and happily accept that I was bisexual. To see him up there Black and beautiful, making music that I love, absolutely killing it? Yeah. You couldn't tell me shit. This man made me proud to be out. "This will make them think we're evil for being gay" hey newsflash dawg-

How many mass graves and extinct cultures are needed to convince Christian apologists that missionaries and missionizing are inherently xenophobic?
The answer is apparently always, "At least one more."
It just like... look. If your religion has an explicit instruction of belief that it needs to take every other religion out there in the world, wipe them out, and replace them with itself, that religion is xenophobic. And the people who engage in the fulfillment of that process are xenophobic. It might not be as explicitly nasty a xenophobia as ethnic genocide, but it's still an instruction to commit cultural genocide.
#i hate all religions equally
The number of people who have added this comment or others to the same effect...
Yeah.
You're no better than the missionaries who want to wipe out other cultures and replace them with Jesus. You say that you "hate all religions equally"? Fine--that means you hate exactly the same number of religions that they do, plus one. From the perspective of those facing the hate, it really makes no difference.
If I say "I'm Jewish and I hate the ideas of missionaries because historically they created pogroms and ghettoes and started genocides multiple times," and your response is "I hate all religions equally," which INCLUDES Judaism, what you're actually saying is "those people were bad but they should have succeeded."
These missionaries/missions have actually contributed to ethnic genocide. “Kill the Indian to save the man.” Was literally the line of thought for putting Indigenous American children into residential schools and how many mass graves have we found? How many are still waiting to be discovered? How many human beings are in unmarked graves, still separated from their culture, having found no peace even in death. And this is but one example.
Gtfo with “I hate all religions equally”. If you believe this you’re equally racist as the people you claim to hate.
Those residential school mass graves were the original instigation for this post... and yet there were people who, in the immediate aftermath of their discovery, argued on this post that they were acceptable.

No, no, and NO.
AO3 does not live in “the cloud” because that is other people’s computers, and other people’s computers are vulnerable to censorship.
AO3 is on its own computers. It does still have to be housed somewhere, and I suppose a determined enough hater could try to find that place and go after it, but it’s a lot harder than sending spurious complaints to Amazon or whomever going “BadWrong things are hosted on your cloud service!”
Owning the servers is a core tenet of OTW/AO3.
Warming up a new database server….
When people involved with AO3 talk about “the cost of servers” they don’t mean “the cost to pay Amazon for space on their servers.” They mean, like, the cost to physically own them, and eventually replace them with new ones. And the operating costs to run them.
AO3 is not “in the cloud.” AO3 is stored on physical machines that the OTW owns.
While this is not a solution that can work for everyone who wants to deal with controversial content, it is why AO3ple sneer at alt-righters who complain about getting thrown off hosting platforms.
I Want Us to Own the Goddamned Servers
Because I want us to own the goddamned servers, ok? Because I want a place where we can’t be TOSed and where no one can turn the lights off or try to dictate to us what kind of stories we can tell each other.
AO3 is what a website looks like when you seize the means of production.
I want to ask about your ocs!!!!Do you have an OC you really can't get enough of drawing?
I might just share multiple OCs I've drawn more than once.. because that's very few of them 🫣
Most people know about Matillo, he has the most drawings. I draw him mostly when I'm stressed and angry. He's more of a vehicle for my feelings than a lore-man nowadays, but he was an unwanted child who lost his humanity after a painful betrayal. I associate him with moths a lot of the time, he's kind of a killer who absorbs his victims and his flesh isn't solid, he's very literally a monster. Often recognizable by cuts on his fingers and generally being my most ominous drawings in general.
Ajnur and Vedad.. My goldsmith and potter characters, I love them very much. They're tender, slow-burn boys who live in my more-overarching realm of a fantasy version of 17-1800s Balkans. Ajnur is a bit neurotic, overworking to exhaustion kind of guy.. Vedad is the kind of man who makes sure he's eating enough, visits often just to see him, takes him to bed when he's about to pass out kind of ordeal.
Then there's Semach, my golem. Started as a classic golem, a little lumpy clay protector who somehow outlives his original sculptor. Trying to figure out himself.. Learned to sculpt his own body, not fully sure of his gender but tries to not overthink it, prefers "he" over "she" but doesn't like "it", personally. I need to draw some of his stages of sculpting himself sometime, he had some that were more like pottery and statues in the region his community was in when he wasn't sure he should try to look "human". He's always questioning his existence, whether he should be "alive" or not, and stressed out about protecting his community. Even if he's not expressive on the outside and doesn't know if he fully feels inside, he does worry.
