Hate it when people try to shoehorn songs into 4/4 when they clearly are in 6/8, like you dont need that many triplets just change your signature
Case in point: this riff from Electric Wizard's Funeralopolis
It could be written in 4/4 as above (this is roughly how the rhythm is notated in songsterr) but most notes end up being triplets (the second measure being particularly egregious).
On the other hand you could just write it in 6/8 as such:
And then it's instantly so much easier to read (other than the fact I missed a tie in measure 6)
