look I'm not gonna pretend I know anything about electronics, but sometimes a plug is so big it blocks another socket, and I'm always like "who the fuck do you think you are"
The real reason you need to title your drawings is so that you can stick a little placard in the caption displaying the title of the work, artist's name, year of creation, and medium like your blog is a a fancy art gallery.
(Note that you are 100% allowed to get silly with it â putting some unhinged shit in a work's title has been common practice among Serious Artists for literal centuries, which makes it Respectable.)
Working - sort of
I had a busy, active day Wednesday, rested (but barn chores are eternal) Thursday and half Friday, did a canning project Friday afternoon/evening, another one Saturday morning, rested Saturday afternoon. That's actually a very light work schedule for a farm in August. K and I both went to bed around 9:30 last night, worn out for different reasons - and then I ended up sleeping until 8:30 this morning. I mean, I got up early to let dogs out, but fell back asleep for another 3 hours. WILD.
I'd love to know how my father abused his body with drugs and alcohol for over 60 years and stayed active around the farm until his late seventies, when I hit 51 and BAM. Can't keep up anymore. Yes, my mother's health was shit. She died at 61. It's on my mind.
K needs to spend most of today studying for her final, but wanted to chop at least some of these herself because they're so pretty. We only had enough for half a canner full, but I'd rather get fewer jars than try to cold-store the carrots in the basement fridge and lose some to The Yuk. Once it's way-down-in-the fall and my attic is cold (and very dry), I can cold store there very effectively. Root veg in the fridge - I think it's a bit too humid in there for them.
Canned carrots are a delight, anyway, because I can pull the jar off the pantry shelf, heat them in a bowl, butter, done. Very low effort - because all the prep was done on canning day.
Aren't they PRETTY!!!
A thought; the attic gets hot as hell during the summer. I think that contributes to my success in storing veg there through the winter, because any li'l lingering mold spore or microbe that would contribute to spoilage get blasted during summer, and the whole attic has been 'sterilized' when I start storing things there in November.
My Pokemon purple carrots, let me show you them . . .

Hey there! Just a friendly reminder/PSA from your friendly neighborhood Pixiemage!
âDead Dove: Do Not Eatâ is too often (incorrectly) used as a cover-all tag, on fics ranging from Vaguely Uncomfortable to Serious Shit, as a replacement for any intense tags relating to the story. People will use it to say âHoly shit guys some INTENSE SHIT happens in this storyâ without actually saying what that Intense Shitâą is.
In actuality, the âDead Doveâ tag is meant to be used in addition to other warning tags. Pulled from a scene from the show Arrested Development (look it up on YouTube!), it means âHi! Hey! I labeled this fic to warn you of whatâs in it, so you might REALLY want to read those labels! This fic is exactly what it says on the tin! The tags are accurate! Donât say I didnât warn you, because this is me warning you! Read the tags!â
So before you accidentally use the âDead Dove: Do Not Eatâ tag without context, hereâs your preemptive lesson for next time. Please tag your fics accordingly! Ta!

"this thing is rare and only affects 1% of the population" dude that's 80 million people can you shut up
"this thing is so rare, if you put everyone it affects on an island it would be the 20th most populated country in the world, more than the UK, more than South Korea, and more than Canada AND Australia AND Tunisia all put together. we can literally forget about it that's not many people"
#is this about autism?
it's about autism and EDS and intersex variations and about trans people and also it's about golden blood and it's about blind people, it's about screaming all day long and howling the night out that you exist even if you're not everywhere, you're small but your heart beats and your lungs pump air and they want you forgotten in the pages of a book they won't read
why do people think victorian orphans were like. the peak of sheltered pure innocence
"imagine feeding mountain dew to a victorian orphan" they'd probably appreciate the pick-me-up before their shift as junior osha violator at the accident factory
"imagine showing a victorian orphan vtubers" they'd say "this is boring i wanna watch public executions"
#that victorian orphan works as a chimblysweep to buy lifesaving medical cocaine and chloroform for his sister and yall dont even smoke weed
đ¶Y'all don't even smoke weed! Orphan trauma!đ”
Yes, some disabilities are dynamic, and most of us in the disability community know this. However many people arenât aware of just how dynamic some conditions can be.
A person can go from no symptoms at all to being profoundly debilitated all in one day.
Some have baseline symptoms so low and flares so high, that things can go from 1 to 10 very quickly.
I know it can seem impossible that some peopleâs disabilities fluctuate with such extreme variability, but this is a real phenomenon that people deal with.

STUGGON!!!!!!!
My friend, are you in for a treat! The lake sturgeon, which is the sturgeon found in the Great Lakes, can grow to be two meters long and weigh 90 kilograms! It is the biggest fish found in the Great Lakes!!
But, see, the lake sturgeon isnât the biggest sturgeon species. That would be the beluga sturgeon, which regularly grew to be four to six meters long before overfishing took a toll on their populations. Belugas are a lot younger on average nowadays â these fish can live to be over 100 years old â and seldom exceed three meters, but I mean, even that isnât anything to scoff at. The very biggest beluga sturgeon ever caught was a jawdropping 7.2 meters long, and weighed 1 571 kilograms!! Other beluga sturgeons of such sizes have been caught too, and some unverified sources say that there has even been belugas that exceed 10 meters! They are the biggest freshwater fish in the world, and are up there among the biggest bony fishes in the world. Thatâs so big, itâs hard to even grasp or imagine. Seeing pictures of sturgeons puts it in a better perspective, I think. Here is a 800 kilogram sturgeon, a bit more than half of what the biggest sturgeon weighed:
Like, look at that. You see this?? Thatâs so fucking insane!!! Sturgeons never cease to amaze me with how⊠impossible they seem. These fish are like aquatic dragons or prehistoric beasts from days long gone, and in a way they are the latter! Sturgeons have been around as a group for over 160 million years, so they did indeed live in the age of the dinosaurs. Whenever I see pictures like this I can only wonder what the humans who first saw big sturgeons mustâve thought. I know what sturgeons are but I still have trouble grasping their gargantuan sizes, imagine seeing the dark form of a giant in the water and not having the faintest idea of what it is, or even that it's entirely harmless to humans.
Other sturgeon species are also very really big! The lesser-known kaluga isnât that far behind at a maximum length of 5.6 meters and maximum weight of about a ton. Several white sturgeon that have exceeded three meters and even just shy of four meters and weighed over 400 kilograms have been caught, and the biggest, but unverified white sturgeon even caught was around six meters long and weighed 900 kilograms. The critically endangered Chinese sturgeon maxes out around five meters and 600 kilograms. All this to say, these old fishes are massive!!!
I get really rambly about fish, sturgeons especially ^^â I justâŠ. look!!! Look at them!! Isnât that the most gorgeous beast youâve ever seen? Donât you wonder what life they have lived, what theyâve seen, heard, felt? If sturgeons could talk⊠theyâre wonderful animals, and. Ahhh!!! Everyone needs to know about sturgeons!!!
@fishyfishyfishtimes do not apologise for existing you lovely sturgeon knower âšïž

MAGA boomers SHOCKED by 20y/o commie speaking fluent hog
Hog 201 for anyone interested in trying this:
Bodily autonomy (like abortion, anti draft, etc) -> âThe government shouldnât be able to force anything on my body I donât want.â
Anti surveillance -> âI donât trust big government/big tech (big brother if youâre feeling frisky) with the ability to spy on me and my family.â
Immigration -> âNext to all of us immigrated at some point, I donât see why the elites get to decide whoâs allowed to be where. Whatâs to stop them coming for me?â
Climate Change -> âBig oil shouldnât get to determine whether or not I get to go places. I donât want to be dependent on some big business to survive.â
State Violence -> âI donât want the goddamn secret police breathing down my neck! I trust my community a whole hell of a lot more to help me than I do the state!â
The vast majority of conservatives think of themselves as underdogs being repressed by the government/the elite, and they value personal freedom (specifically their personal freedom, they donât care about other people). The will almost always agree with leftist points if you can find a way to blame the problem on their vague enemies (useful, since rich people are the root of most problems), and tie it back to their ability to say fuck everyone else. NEVER appeal to science, theory, logic, or human goodness. Make it seem as if you are a paranoid lunatic who trusts no one. They love it.
#you need to tailor your arguments to people's existing values and priorities if you want to convince them #the flip side is that it's every bit as easy to tailor conservative arguments to convince a leftist audience #so don't get smug #you're not immune to this either <- prev extremely true
[edit: @glorious-spoon I'm sorry, if I'd known this was going to breach containment I would've @'d you instead of just saying "prev"]
