1. I won’t spoil the sex scene because that’s probs getting to specific, but the script is out there, friends! I suck at finding that kind of stuff usually but it’s not hard to track down.

2. Do not worry about him convincingly playing a musician. He did amazing. It’s adorable to me that he already felt the need to confess on Colbert he’s just “lip synching.” 😆

I cannot overstate how hot this man looks playing the cello. Like I don’t even know how to prepare you. The gifs and edits from this movie will be endless. I think at one point I almost cried because his side profile playing the cello is just that beautiful. So. Plenty to look forward to!// I won’t lie, when I first heard he was gonna be playing a cello player I was a bit concerned because I cannot visualize it, I also remember him talking about not being able to play guitar when it came to the last of us so of course it made me a bit nervous that I’d have a hard time buying him as a musician. But you have definitely put my worries to ease!!! Damn now I’m getting antsy to see this movie 😩🤣.

But this is very important info for us lol‼️// this is actually a really good question on its own because in the script (which is public) there is a scene that is basically a lead up to a spicy scene before it cuts. I also want to know if scenes like that from the script were kept in the movie.

This is so interesting to think about — he’s done some sort of deeper voice or accent for almost every role he’s played, excluding Materialists, Triple Frontier and some of his smaller TV work. He’s great at changing his voice and physicality for different roles, but it seems rare for an actor to barely ever talk like themselves in their work!

I feel like he has more range with his natural voice. I’m kind of shocked we really haven’t heard him use it in more of his performances. When he does his deeper voice it becomes sort of monotone which is fine because that’s what happens when you change your voice. I just hope that this is start of him using his natural voice more often going forward!!

That wasn’t even something that crossed my mind but I’m so happy you brought it up. This is going to be an unpopular opinion but, as much as I love Joel and mando and all of his gruff characters I’ve realized that they all started to melt together. Maybe that’s why I have such a strong love for Reed. He was so different than the rest. I think also for him to play someone who is more like himself can show just how much range he has. You’re making me more and more excited to see this film 🤗!!!

I truly think Pedro fans will be happy with it on pretty much every level. I hope he gets awards recognition. I’m obviously biased, but I don’t think he’s being overhyped on Reddit at all, he’s really that good. The convo the other day about how he’s such a good crier…yeahhhh he sure is. One thing I will share that is fandom-specific but doesn’t give anything away — it was cool to see him in regular clothes, in a contemporary story, speaking in his regular voice. He’s so often in period pieces or alternate universes doing different accents lmao. He actually sounds and looks like himself in this role! I didn’t realize how NOT used to that I was, but it literally took me time to adjust to Pedro actually resembling Pedro for once. I guess the closest comparison is Harry, but much more chill and funny.

Ughhhhhh so good!! I don’t think we will survive, Pedro being Pedro.

Hollywood should stop lecturing us about saving the film industry. Times are tough. $22 for a movie isn’t doable for everyone. //

It really is insane. I don’t go to the movies very often and couldn’t believe it was nearly $40 for two tickets. And that was a matinee! And then I got a small soda and it was $9 DOLLARS. Like, what??? I can get a beer cheaper than that at most restaurants. 😭 Families are easily spending over $100. Not accessible at all. So when the film is basically just a continuation of a show people have been perfectly happy watching at home, yeah, of course they’re gonna wait it out.

These gonzo junkets are insane. They overdo it, for sure. Most of us get fatigued before the film actually releases! And we see these banal interviews, dumb games, same questions asked over and over, and journos trying to have some gimmick to make their interview viral.

Just thinking about the costs of these films and pressers is staggering. We could really fix some of the world with $250,000,000.
