Currently Watching: okay guys I gotta admit I’m actually terrible at watching shows so I wouldn’t say I’m actively following anything. I’ve been meaning to watch Steel Ball Run though!

Currently Reading: Vanishing World by Sayaka Murata- very interesting book, I love Murata’s work a lot. But also, very disturbing. Viewer discretion is highly advised.

Current Obsession: you know the answer, it’s Final Fantasy VII. (xD) I finally got Remake and Rebirth to run on my computer so I am on my first official play through of the Re Trilogy!

Currently Working On: my art! I’ve been drawing a lot I just haven’t posted anything… I may or may not be cooking up an AU

Seph reminds me of multiple bugs.

Beetle(s) - The stag beetle symbolizes honor strength and combat and is apart of Japanese culture. A rhinoceros beetle is also apart Japanese culture and symbolizes willpower and determination. Pre Nibelheim Sephiroth, while not wanting to be a hero, definitely had the aspects and traits to be a respectable hero and most certainly had the combat abilities! Sephiroth also has a fuckton of willpower, as it is literally the reason why they are still sticking around and fucking about. Their literal determination to get vengeance kept them alive sort of. Pre-Nibelheim afterall wished to become a true hero and save people rather than rely on their posterboy status. Sephiroth had such a good heart sobs

Butterfly - The monarch butterfly symbolizes a lot of things. Not only is it beautiful and elegant like Sephiroth, but it also stands for freedom, something Pre-Nibelheim Sephiroth wished for. I like to think seeing all the caterpillars grow up and migrate into butterflies to be free would be a bittersweet feeling for them. A black butterfly could also correlate with Post-Nibelheim as in Japanese culture they typically act as an omen that death is coming. In celtic folklore, black butterflies are also associated with significant life events which for Seph would be discovering the "truth" about their past and transforming into a completely different person because of it. Butterflies are often loved due to their outward appearance, however no one truly looks at them closely and appreciates everything inside, even if it can be a bit ugly.

Moth - A bit self indulgent. I think of the term "like a moth drawn to a flame" or as they are drawn to light, showing how Sephiroth is unable to resist the light in their life, their mother, their wanting of freedom, and their friends, even if it means they may be easily manipulated by them, such as Genesis' monologue to them in Crisis Core. A moth is typically looked down upon in fear, however they have something truly beautiful inside of them.

Orchid Mantis - this one is VERY self indulgent i just like to imagine sephiroth as a pretty pink bug.

overall i think Sephiroth would like bugs. Of course they probably would not like it if they crawled in their hair but crawling on their hand is fine. Midgar is basically a wasteland for anything related to nature so seeing one would be a pleasant surprise for Sephy. Maybe that's why they like a certain moth shaker hahehehshe.... I stole this from my cocoon of incoherent rambling in the wid server.

tbh I think angeal has dad sneezes. atrociously loud sneezes that are loud enough to literally cause the fabric of spacetime to collapse. idk it just makes sense for him to sneeze like a dad. he probably does even more dad stuff like fall asleep in his armchair while watching tv and snoring with his mouth wide open or reaching his hand into the backseat when someone opens a bag of literally anything
