Actually that's the point. Some shippers dont want to write or make fanart about a ship in canon age so they age up. This is just fandom 101. Like rule 34 it's just something that shippers are gonna do if they want. It's not to make a ship "legal".... because there was nothing illegal about the ship to begin with. Because those are fictional characters, not real people.
