[Fenrir checked his equipment again. Food, scent patches, trackers, intercom. He put each piece on slowly.]
[Looking at himself in the mirror, he looked away.]
[He took them off again. Placing them on his desk again, he turned to the door. Out there, in the living room, was Diriel playing with their figures.]
[Fenrir talked to the Chief and Lieutenant Barbatos earlier. Steeling his resolve, the man removed the rest of his work clothes and changed into something more comfortable.]
[Lady Shax would arrive in an hour. Then they'd have dinner, and he'd tell Diriel.]

[Diriel plays with their figures, oblivious as to what would happen later. They had momentarily forgotten all about Fenrir's work, as they were too occupied with finding a way to play in a manner that would make as much of a mess of the room as possible.]
[Soon enough, their head starts asking them to go find a playmate however, so they stand up with the help of the coffee table and carefully step over the toys and couch cushions thrown about.]
[They toddle over to the room where Fenrir was.]
"Papa?" [Diriel peeks into the room. They notice the change in his clothes, which they hope is a sign that he would be free to entertain them for a little.] "Are you still busy?"
"Diriel," [He says with a smile, pulling down his shirt before turning to the door.] "Not right now, I'm not. Did you want to play?"
"Yaya! Let's play!" [They run over and reach to grab his hand to lead him to the living room.] "What do you want to play, papa?"
[Fenrir felt some of the tension leave his shoulders as Diriel pulled him to play.] "I don't know, why don't you choose?"
[Diriel maneuvers over all the obstacles again and sits down on the floor.] "Let's continue my game."
"These are the good guys, and these are the bad guys." [They explain.] "They're at war! Papa can play the good soldiers!" [They smile and push all the "good" figures towards him.]
"And sometimes, the Demon King sends pillows from the sky! Like this!" [Diriel grabs a nearby cushion (stolen from the couch) and throws it on a group of little soldiers.]
"Careful," [Fenrir warns, shielding his 'soliders'] "I won't let me soliders die so easily." [He said, eyes shimmering playfully]
[Diriel grins, happy papa is taking their game seriously.] "Yay! Good!"
[As the play goes on, Diriel lets many of his men fall until they only have a few left. They eye every one of them and then the ones on the opposing side.]
"Hmm..." [They sigh a little, brows furrowing.] "I don't want to lose... But the good guys should win.." [Diriel ponders outloud, conflicted.]
[Fenrir nods. He freezes however, when his eyes wander to the clock. He needs get started on dinner-!]
"I have to start dinner now, so let's pause here, okay?" [He asks, already getting up.]
"Awh..." [They look down for a moment, but perk back up quickly.] "I want to help! Can I?" [They stand up as well]
"Ah, sorry kiddo. I gotta hurry since Papa's colleague is coming over soon for dinner." [Fenrir says, pausing putting on his apron to pat Diriel's shoulder.]
"College? Okay..."
"Then, I'll clean up my toys!" [They, very maturely, exclaim and get to work.]
[They peeked their head into the kitchen every couple of minutes in curiousity and hunger, so they probably weren't doing a very good job at it... It's the thought that counts?]
[Fenrir managed to finish up the curry just in time to hear a knock on the door.]
"Lady Shax, welcome to my home." [He greeted her, taking her coat for her as she came in. She wore a nice blouse with dark pants, her long hair flowing behind her.]
"Honestly, I was surprised when you invited me, Sir Fenrir." [Shakky said as she took in the home. It was modest, still adjusting to the presence of a child, but surprisingly warm and welcome.]
"Ah-! You must be Diriel."
[Diriel observes the interaction and the new person with wonder.]
[The wide eyed child hides behind Fenrir slightly when confronted.] "... Hi." [They shyly say, looking down at the floor.]
[They were a little cautious, and maybe even a little scared at the new presence. Their little hands play the leg of Fenrir's trousers.]
[Fenrir nodded.] "They're a little shy," [he said before turning his attention back to the dinner table.]
"Please, take a seat, Lady Shax. You too Diriel. I'll get the food."
[Diriel climbs onto their chair that had a little booster seat so they could reach the table better.]
[They kick their feet slightly and play with the hem of their shirt, alternating looking between Fenrir and Lady Shax.]
"Are you papa's college? Do you teach him stuff?" [They gather up the courage to ask, not quite grasping the word 'colleague' from earlier.]
"It's 'colleague', you say it like 'co-leauge'." [Shakky said, giving them a kind smile.] "But no. Your papa's like my boss."
"Co-league... Okay." [Diriel nods and looks down.] "I went to work with papa once. That means I'm a colleague too!" [They smile and look back up.]
[Shakky chuckled at the statement as Fenriri put the pot of curry on the table, taking his seat next to Diriel.]
[They all gave thanks for the food and began eating.]
[Diriel tries to eat very cleanly and politely. This slows them down quite a bit, but they really want to seem good in front of the guest (and papa too, of course).]
"mmm! It's so good, papa!"
"It is, isn't it?" [Shakky asked, savoring her portion.]
[Fenrir smiled faintly at their praise.] "It's nothing special."
Does little Diri-chan eat their greens without issue?
Diriel often eats their greens with no issue, yes. But there are times where I have to be strict.

After much consideration, we have landed on an outfit for 'Project Demdol-up!'
We will initiate the execution of said project soon (I just need my package and make-up kit), but rest assured we will provide many alternative looks for you to gaze at while imaginin him singing (and Dancing)!
I hereby call for everyone who read this to join in this endeavor! We shall rise together! The humans of another world have “idol groups!” that are being kept from us by the border patrol! Of course it’s understandable that they’d want to keep everyone save BUT! THEY CAN NOT BE PERMITTED TO JUST LEAVE IT LIKE THAT! THEY MUST STEP UP AND MAKE UP FOR WHAT WE ARE MISSING OUT ON! I HEREBY CALL FOR THE BORDER PATROL TO MAKE A DEMDOL GROUP! A HELL DANCE! LED BY NONE OTHER THAN NABERIUS NARNIA! EVERYONE! JOIN US AT MAKING THIS HAPPEN!
