There is something about the music industry – the people it attracts, the product it produces. The sheer brilliance of creating something that can cause people to become able to emotionally relate to something a person has gone through –– a person potentially so different to themselves.
In 2004 the indie label 'Bowie Records' was formed, (their choice of name coined after of course the one and only David Bowie) The founders of this label of course had an aim; to discover artists, bands and musicians –– that attained a certain sound, a certain unique quality that separated them from anyone else. bowie records is a glee group based around an independent record label. players may audition for musicians, singers, managers, producers etc.
I've decided it'd be best if I closed this roleplay. Due to the fact that my personal mental health is incredibly fragile at the moment and coupled with the fact that this group isn't really getting as much attention as I'd hoped, I think it'd be best to close the group now and leave it gracefully rather than letting it dwindle to a sad death if you will. Thank you for everyone who has shown interest and sorry to those who were waiting for it to begin, I honestly don't think I'm all that cut out for running roleplays anymore. Sorry again.
So the main has been a little quiet over these past few days and I am to blame for that, it is nearing up to my exams and I fell behind a bit on keeping ads and the like running. However I would still like to continue with this roleplay but that does involve me having to recieve auditions which I haven't had any in my inbox since the two that I have accepted. I am considering perhaps making the group a little smaller in hopes that it might fill up a little quicker but feel free to give me a few ideas or some advice and hopefully we'll have some auditions soon?
Everything on the blog is now updated, and as it stands there are currently no more auditions to accept, so by all means feel free to change that. As far as interaction, that I think will begin once we have about seven to eight spots filled (depending on the time it takes to get that amount) so keep sending in those questions and applications. I'll be around all day updating anything I forgot and happy to accept and read over some applications.

BIOGRAPHY: Brinn had always been seen as a girl who was too enthused about life, anything and everything she did was always something for her to be excited about which did cause some people to find her annoying. She didn’t see how people weren’t excited about things they were usually choosing to do and even when it was forced like school, why waste that time being angry about it? As for the way the girl looked, it was pleasing to the eye because she didn’t lack a bit of fashion sense always keeping up with fashion trends and even putting her own twist on some of the clothing styles she decided to take on. To her, it wasn’t about being the center of attention but some people found her to be obnoxious about things she chose to do, say, or wear.
Life for the girl was never an issue, she was wealthy and lived with a loving family as compared to the usual stereotype that came within well-off families. It was her parents, her, and her older brother who happened to be into the lifestyle of DJing. It was a simple thing he began, nothing that he exactly thought he’d go full out with until the age of Electropop, that’s when he began to really expand his DJ skills out at clubs and for parties when requested. Brinn had always found his music so exciting, she would attend every event where he was playing, she liked being able to dance and move to the beat that he created against other songs that she knew. He was the sole reason that Brinn even discovered she was a singer at the age of 17, she’d never thought of herself as much of one, but her brother saw something in her voice that he wanted to mix with some of his beats.
It was then that she even threw in her keyboard skills, adding more affect to his beats and even creating her own songs for him to create his own beats for. The two decided to show off their music when her brother was asked to perform at a club, he insisted that she’d sing along with the song they had first created live for the club and from there the two of them took off. They were approached by a Bowie Records agent during an event, Brinn didn’t waste any time to say yes to them signing the two of them and her brother wasn’t even mad that she’d already agreed to it. It wasn’t too long until their songs took off, throwing in a mix of Indie Pop when it came to the songs that Brinn had wrote herself, and while they weren’t the most popular they were still good enough to work on another album.
Now, with their unique looks and unique mix of sound, Brinn plan’ to see this record sky rocket as she’s leaning more to focus on the Indie Pop aspect of it with the Electropop aspect thrown into a few of her songs to give them a more rising beat. Brinn refuses to give anyone a taste of the music her and her brother are creating besides the label, she wants this album to take surprise and give everyone much more excitement than they’d been expecting. She knows it’s exciting to her fans, she’s seen tweets and fan mail from them begging for a new taste from the album, but she refuses until it’s completely finalized and she knows which songs she wants to exactly put on it.
With music being such a big thing in her life, Brinn hasn’t really found much time for anything else especially relationships. She’s got a couple of friends that she keeps close, but with how much work she puts into creating new music, going to music events, playing concerts, she hasn’t exactly taken a break to focus on friendships or relationships which is why with the new album; she plans to focus on her life without the music, but at the same time she wants to create stories within it to the beats that play around in her head. It’s also a reason that she hasn’t released any new music because she doesn’t completely know what’s going on the album and what’s going to be saved for later, she’s always creating new music so it’s hard for her to really pick what songs could do the new album justice unlike her brother who has been trying to push her to pick a list as soon as possible.

Marceline Hudson; young, wild, and free, a girl who has always gone about existing as though it’s all just a game. None of that ‘YOLO’ nonsense, of course, but rather an insatiable need to experience anything and everything. As though cursed with chronic curiosity that one couldn’t help but indulge. A charismatic rebel with a penchant for leather pants and vast dislike for even the slightest bit of conflict, Marceline has managed to float through life— always bailing out of situations whenever things became too stressful, always running away when things got too serious.
Music was the one constant in Marceline’s life, the one thing she could never tire of. The only way to truly find some sort of equilibrium in her emotions was to create sound, the only way to convey thoughts or feelings was to compose rhythms— it was an all-consuming passion, a never-ending source of enjoyment. Making a career out of something that was so personal seemed so wrong, so dirty… but it was also the only part of herself that was decent enough to offer to the world. So when some slick in a suit flashed a business card and offered a business proposition at an open mic performance, Marceline swallowed her pride and took a chance.
