I saw a tiktok about how diagnosis of mental health conditions at an early age is not a privilege and it's so true -- when your behavior is so extreme and your quality of life is so bad your school can't even handle it and demands you be evaluated, it's not a positive. You have so much autonomy stripped from you as well and the shit they try to do to "help" that ends up further traumatizing you because you're a child and don't know what these adults are doing. Like I would literally scream and cry for help alone in a room. Kindergarten has suuuuch bad memories. I didn't ask for any of this. My family didn't ask for it!

Little kids don't get to advocate for themselves, either. Even if I knew what was going on back then I wouldn't have been able to explain it and fix the problems the treatment was causing me. Instead I got put on jacked up meds and called fixed.
