Andrew Duhon @ SXSW
Wow. What a week. So much happened. You could write a three part, made for TV, melodramatic, teenage love story off of this past week. First and foremost, I have to thank Andrew Duhon, andrewduhon.com, for bringing me along and Myles Weeks for hashing out this music with me. I had an absolute blast learning the tunes and interpreting Andrew's great stories. Seriously people, check him out... the songs are beautiful and the lyrics are amazing!!! Our showcase last Tuesday at the SXSW Music Festival went off without a hitch. The venue in Austin filled up quite nicely for out set. Their were even a handful of old, white dudes in the first row... The kind of old, white dudes that own record labels and pay people lots of money to make music. Thanks to all the folks that came out to the showcase. The energy truly was great. We then headed to Dallas and Houston where I got to see some family. My little cousin, Christian, (maybe not so little anymore being that he's taller than me and drives a pick-up truck) performed in a school play that was entered in a state wide competition. GOOD LUCK MAN!! Our last show of the run was in Lafayette in front of our family and friends. Once again, this music is awesome and really enjoyed digging deeper into as the week progressed. BACK TO AUSTIN!! What a city. Learned a lot about the music biz (very important stuff) and how to use an authentic, leather crack whip. Let's just say I'm a natural. At the whip, not the business stuff... but I'm learning. I also joined The Brad Walker Quintet for an afternoon of music at El Sapo put on by NextBop. BadBadNotGood and Todd Clouser were the highlights for me. Good dudes and a good hang. In other news, keep a look out for my debut record, Brad Webb's Making Faces to be released this summer!!! Photos edited and design being completed. Many exciting things to come in the near future. My wiener dog, Randy, fell off the couch again. I caught him this time though... Progress. This is a progressive site here. Don't say I didn't warn you. MJ and her Nemesis had another stand off the other morning. Much like Sherlock and Moriarty, each one's existence deeply depends on the other's. The saga continues... Thanks for supporting our musical adventures. Love, Bw

Country Jazz. Jazz Country... Flying out Monday morning to join Andrew Duhon for a week of touring Texas. The main attraction will be two showcases at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin. We've been rehearsing for a little over a month now and I'm starting to get the hang of this folk, country way of playing. We're grooving on a whole new level over here people. I'm dropping corn fields in this rice paddy... ya know what I'm sayin'? No seriously, do you understand? I NEED AN ANSWER!!! St. Patrick's Day in Dallas playing folk stories will be awesome. Duhon writes amazing songs none of which pertain to St. Patrick or the day bestowed upon him. Nevertheless, the party will ensue and it will be grand. Yeah yeah Texas, yeah yeah!! In other news, Randy (my wiener dog) loves tissue paper. So much so, that he will in fact bite you for that shit. I have the marks to prove it. MJ on the other hand seems to be having very interesting dreams leading her to huff and kick in her sleep. Must be her concern over Facebook's increasing loss of participants and it's affects on this generations lack of empathy. Because Facebook is the most empathetic form of social media. At least one of these dogs has concern for the world around her. My Music Faces, Bw

After a year of planning, writing, rehearsing, and recording, Making Faces will have its debut concert at The Mud and Water in Baton Rouge this coming Thursday, Feb. 13th. The show will be apart of the "Jive Flamingo Presents Jazz Night" music series. I'm proud to be opening this series and very grateful to the crew at Jive Flamingo for their hard work in getting this series together and for promoting this first show. In other news, my wiener dog, Randy Jackson, will be competing in his first Wiener Dog Race next weekend. SO much progress going on here folks. Thanks Internets, Bw

Things at the Open Ears Music Series
Hello Folks... Played some very exciting music with my friends, Trey Boudreaux and Reagan Mitchell, at The Blue Nile Upstairs in New Orleans this past Tuesday (12/3). Our trio is called Things performing music composed by us. The Open Ears Music Series, curated by Jeff Albert, happens every Tuesday night and we were very excited to debut some new tunes during our performance.
Thanks to Chris Alford for snapping a few photos and taking a few videos throughout the night. I'm very much looking forward to developing this music. Stay tuned for updates on this project.
Much Love,
BW
A few photos from the 3NOW4 Reunion a few weeks ago at The Prime Example in New Orleans. It was a great night of music and I'm very excited to have been on the same stage alongside James Singleton, Dave Easley, and Tim Greene. I'm looking forward to the next time this band plays together...
Thanks and love,
BW

Just finished rehearsal for the reunion of the 3NOW4 band. Very excited to be performing music with these 3 titans of New Orleans improvisation. This band hasn't performed in years and has had a "who's who" of drummers occupy the drum chair. COME TO PRIME EXAMPLE IN NEW ORLEANS THURSDAY, NOV. 7 AT 7PM AND 9PM... I'm no Johnny V, but my name is Brad Webb and intend to play my ass off!!
Thanks and much love,

Jnerio Jarel's Viberian Experience
Every Wednesday, beginning again Oct. 11, at GasaGasa is the latest weekly music series to pop up in New Orleans, LA. Maybe not the first of its kind, Viberian Experience is an experimental, (mainly) electronic musical experience featuring various artist each week.
Curated by the acclaimed producer, Jnerio Jarel, the Viberian Experience is quickly gaining notoriety amongst musicians as not only a DJ driven event, but one that incorporates live musicians as well. The goal being to bridge the gap between acoustic and electronic sound makers. The trio, Things, featuring Reagan Mitchell, Trey Boudreaux, and myself joined the list of guest artists during the last Experience. The vibe was amazing and the exchange of ideas only added to the excitement.
Keep your eyes peeled and your fingers clicking.
Thanks for being interested,
BW
