String Gardens
My brother and his fiancé are starting to plan their wedding. During my discussions with them they're really putting an emphasis on the specific types of flowers they'd like to have. After stumbling on String Gardens I immediately fell in love with the way they execute their suspended arrangements. I think this could be a unique way my brother and his fiancé can incorporate all of the different types of flowers in their wedding space.

Spring Window Display by Ken Marten on Flickr.
Stems of Forsythia have been suspended from the ceiling over a field of daffodils. Small plastic bags were filled with water and tied to each stem of Forsythia, allowing them to florish and create a shower of gold.
Yvonne Wong
Just surfing around, I stumbled on a talented local Seattle engagement, wedding and portrait photographer, Yvonne Wong. Her resumé shows her as an award winning photographer of the Wedding Photojournalist Association, Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association and the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International.
After clicking through her portfolio I quickly fell in love with her style and her ability to capture priceless moments.
Wooden Party Hats
A good friend of mine is throwing a birthday party for her soon-to-be 6 year old son. As I'm helping her plan, I happened to stumble on these really adorable wooden party hats from Paloma's Nest. Although they're really simple, they're very customizable, adjustable and reusable for years to come. Whether you want to go the traditional party hat route and sport the cone shaped hat or if your little guests want to feel like royalty for the day and wear cute little crowns. These should be a sure hit with everyone.
Leaf Letters
I never thought something so simple could be so pretty. If you're into nature and all things unique, you should visit Neo Green for their leaf letters. Instead of sending an email, why not send someone a leaf?
Environment Type
I stumbled on UK artist, Anna Garforth's environment installations. She uses natural materials and creates beautiful typographic pieces. Something like this could be a great way to incorporate type into your event.
Personalized Pottery
These are one of my favorite pieces from My Mamas Table by Gleena. She created these special pieces for her friends as a wedding gift. The C and J are the initials of the couple and the words relate to their wedding day and the characteristics of the individuals.
Sweet + practical.

Party Pinwheels
For Erin and Eric's baby shower I wanted to find table decorations that would be fun and festive. Rather than getting flowers that would eventually get thrown away, I found this site that makes custom pinwheels. They have different sizes, different pinwheel styles and tons of paper patterns to choose from.
Shana from Pinwhirls was really awesome to work with. She finished my order ahead of schedule and sent me pictures of the finished product.
And They're Off!
Now that I got my Lego hand soaps and the eeeniemeenie message cards into each personalized muslin bag, it's time to package them up and send them off to each guest.
To keep inline with the website theme, I was able to find some really cute address labels that have the vintage airmail red and blue border. To capture the look and feel of an old parcel, I found some kraft board 6"x6" envelopes that were thick enough to hold and safely transport my little bags o' stuff. And as a finishing touch, I used some cherry red baker's twine to wrap around each package.
Big Fun In A Little Bag
If you've seen my previous posts of the personalized muslin bags and the little message cards with the eeeniemeenie url, you'll see how I've put these elements together.
Each muslin bag was created to perfectly fit the message card as well as some scented Lego hand soap. Why Lego and why soap? I've incorporated Lego into the theme of this event because it symbolizes this couple building their new family. And to add a little something extra to each invitation, I wanted to include something that was practical but still went along with the theme (note: Website look and feel). I happen to stumble on this awesome vendor, pieceofpisces on Etsy who makes scented Lego figure hand soaps. I immediately fell in love and ordered a bunch of red Lego figures to represent Erin and some blue figures to represent Eric.
Great things can come in little packages.
A Full Interactive Experience
I started concepting this project for Erin and Eric so that they would have a keepsake item that comes from the celebration of their first child. Rather than having a traditional mailer and RSVP card, I wanted each guests to have an engaging experience.
Why the name eeeniemeenie? Because Erin and Eric's names both start with the letter 'E', the only thing that was certain was that they wanted their child's name to also start with an 'E.' eeeniemeenie is a play on the letter 'E' and also represents the three 'E's' in this new family.

A Paper Record Player
This is one of the most innovative printed pieces that I have ever seen for a wedding. It exhibits a great design concept and has been executed extremely well.
