“Brother….” A single word and a piercing stare were the only greeting Raven gave as she took a seat across the table from Qrow, her removed helmet placed between them like a barrier; a grim reminder of the distance that separated the siblings.
“I don’t suppose you’ve come to your senses and have decided to rejoin the tribe?” It’s an unlikely prospect, but it’s something that Raven continued to hold out hope for. Despite how much her brother’s betrayal of the tribe that took them in and raised them has angered her, she’d be a fool not to recognize his strength. If he would just return and add his strength to the tribes, she’d be willing to forgive his trespasses.
✗ ┊◸ Tired eyes looked up at his sibling as she sat across from him. While a visit was unexpected, he wasn’t going to show his surprise. That wasn’t how these things usually went. In fact, sadly that was never how it went. Finger tracing the rim of his glass, red eyes met with his sisters.
❛ I don’t know. Have you come to your senses about caring about your family? ❜
The words left his mouth, and he took another sip of his drink. He wasn’t keen on returning, and right now there were so much more important things going on. But Raven’s views and priorities were low on his list. Ice clanking in the glass, he let out a sigh, and set it down, shaking his head. As he looked up at her, the original scowl that was on his face was replaced with one showing concern, and almost disappointment.
❛ Why is the Tribe all you worry about? You know better than anyone what’s going on, or rather what’s going to happen if this gets any worse. Even the Tribe won’t survive that, Raven. Why can’t you just help? You know as well as I do that we could really use your help. ❜ ◿
