I'm repurposing/reviving my old blog. Grab the difibrillators, the adrenaline shot, the EpiPen, the caffeine, the smelling salts, whichever.
I can't be held responsible for all my crazy coffee addled musings from college that follow below. From now on, I am focusing on my purpose, my journey, and my inspiration.
I took a big risk and quit my job to take a User Experience Design class with General Assembly, and the next three months on this blog will be a lot about my experiences in this class. My life motto is "Ever Upwards." it also happens to be the New York state motto, which was re-interpreted by a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, titled Excelsior. Excelsior latin word, meaning Ever Higher, and the poem is about a man who doesn't heed warnings, and ends up frozen, and dead in the snow. Despite the parabolic lesson advocating on trust and advice, it's also comfortingly encouraging. There is something exciting and romantic about going down clutching your banner.
I'll be documenting my work, my successes, and my failures here on this blog. Maybe I'll reach new heights, maybe I'll go down clutching my banner, but hopefully I'll be able to heed the advice of my peers, learn from the process, and from my failures to become a better designer.
Enjoy.
