im still trying to get my thoughts in order but of all the heart of darkness adaptations i still think spec ops is my favourite for how blatantly it presents apocalypse and how easy it would be for its characters to pull the ripcord given the information they had but they can't given the ideological brainwashing that was necessary to get them to such a state
