School was officially out for winter break, and Delia couldn’t be more excited. Instead of sitting in class all day, she was now free to spend her days sitting up in the gallery and observing her mother’s cardio surgeries. Better yet, that also meant she could spend more quality time with Mia. Over recent months, the brunette had become one of her closest friends. The two had met entirely by accident one afternoon, but now the blonde wouldn’t trade that encounter for anything in the world. She was convinced it was somehow meant to be.
Stepping off the elevator, she made her way over to a nearby nurses station, wanting to check and make sure that it was alright for Mia to have a visitor. Once she got the okay, Delia headed down to the familiar room, only to be stopped by the very person that she was in search of before she was even halfway there. “Surprise! Although, you being up and out here instead of in your room really isn’t one. But whatever. Where are we headed?”
Turning to see the girl who was her best friend, Mia moved over with her IV pole dripping all kinds of pre-operative medications and fluids into her system. Throwing her arm around Delia’s shoulder Mia grinned . “I was going to say, you really expected me to be in bed?” Laughing she looked back as the elevator doors opened. “Come on I need good food, not the crap they serve on those trays. I mean the good food downstairs.”
Walking into the elevator, moving her pole with her, her eyebrow raised as she looked back towards her friend. “Come on, I’m paying.” Laughing knowing that it was paid for my her patient ID band she waved her arm covered in al kinda of hospital bracelets and bandages in the air. “Come now or I am leaving you behind. I am not getting caught waiting on your blonde ass!”
