A Wee Campaign
BrewDog Belfast is a campaign to tempt BrewDog to open a bar in Belfast by Jonny Campbell, Filly Campbell, and Ali Sisk. We designed a six-pack of Belfast-themed brews. Here's four of them:
THE MAIDEN VOYAGE Ahoy there! Pull up a stool and drown your tastebuds in this big-bodied ale. Commercial beers float around in pools of water. They have no energy. No life. This craft brew traverses oceans; feel the intense roar, the break of the waves and silent thunders of the deep. With every drop you drink you become more connected to the sea. You can't expect to discover new lands unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore, and this bottle is just the tip of the iceberg. Not even God Herself could sink this ship.
SAMSON & GOLIATH Two giants; side-by-side. Samson with his long, curly hair and the strength to destroy a temple using only his bare hands. Goliath, a magnificent warrior. Towering over with armour and weaponry most men would struggle to carry or even stand in. What do these two men have in common? The same qualities that appear to give them strength are also their great weaknesses. Our strength is brewing strong beer. Our weakness? We love drinking them. There is no strong beer, just weak men.
ALBERT'S ALE Albert takes its name from Belfast's Memorial Clock — the city's answer to Pisa’s leaning tower. Unfortunately the tower was built on marshy ground and has developed an unbalanced posture in its old age. Albert's Barrel-Aged Ale, however, was built on a solid foundation of brewing knowledge with a rich, creamy ale aged in the finest Irish Whiskey Casks. Drinking good ale doesn't make you fat, it makes you lean…
BELFAST BOMB BrewDog's Belfast Bomb is a truly explosive porter. Stouts and Ireland go hand-in-hand, you can't have one without the other. Unfortunately we've come to think of the dull, watery variety that have enthralled the tastebuds of the unadventurous beer drinker for centuries. Big brands, no flavour. The Belfast Bomb's character is almost as violent as the city's past. It is tension, bottled. An aggressive bitterness and stormy smoothness blend together to create a highly volatile, ticking time bomb. Tick. Tock.
