The Eds are left alone to discuss the turn outs from the episode.
From the first analysis I did I noticed that the Ed’s are always left alone to see what they have learned. They don’t have a discussion here as they’re distracted by the discomfort of the eels.
They already know that all is forgiven with Rolf. They had been discussing the matter the whole episode. This wasn’t the turn out they were expecting, but at least in rare ending the Eds are forgiven and all is forgotten by Rolf.
Eddy won’t admit to learning anything, but he understands what he did to hurt Rolf’s feelings. He learns to bite his tongue. From this point on I don’t think he says or does anything against Rolf’s customs.
Fans may disagree saying that Eddy made fun of Rolf’s customs in The Good, The Bad, and the Ed, Eddy did nothing but tare up a parchment to which Rolf decided to make fun of Eddy. When Eddy tests Rolf for the toughest badge Rolf doesn’t want to look weak. Eddy did nothing wrong. He is was trying to lower himself to Rolf’s childish level.
The Eds are left with the discomfort of eels squirming around in their pants.
Edd notices that Ed looks uncomfortable. He asks to see if Ed is enjoying this.
“I feel weird guys. I think I’m allergic to eels.”
In a bizarre allergic reaction Ed transforms into a fish.
Very odd indeed. This ending comes out of no where. It is satisfying because I remembered laughing so hard that my mom had to come into the room and ask me what was so funny.
AKA liked writing this comedy. Comedy was a big part of the show. These three boys are trying to understand life while coming across bizarre circumstances.
Edd faints and Eddy tries to run away.
The scene fades out with a now happy Ed asking for someone to scratch his scales.
There is exactly 24 hours until Rolf Appreciation Month is over. Let’s have some great discussions during that time.
I love doing these analysis. I recommend that you guys give them a shot. They’re so much fun to do and you can come up with so many head canons in the process of writing them.
