reflection - week 13:
my personal objective for this course was to learn more about the adobe products and all the little intricate and amazing things that they are capable of doing and although sometimes indesign is extremely frustrating, ive learnt lots.
i’ve discovered the memphis art movement which is the perfect combination of art deco and pop art with its quirkiness and bright colours.
i believe ive unlocked the skill of prototyping and learning through mistakes, sometimes it really is about quantity and just general generating of ideas rather than the one immediate refined product. how do we learn without making mistakes? answer: we dont.
the group that created the eyewriter really inspired me. when we looked at it in a lecture a couple of weeks back i was honestly impressed and inspired by the fact that a group of designers had dedicated so much time to enable people to create that previously had no hope of doing so. the entire concept just really moved me.
i’d like to further explore the concept of observing everyday life more thoroughly in order to create things to inspire others
it was really such an interesting, quirky, engaging and fun class, gonna miss working on the random exercises with my usual table group :)
ps. thanks for a great first semester :)
pps. the lack of capitalization was an aesthetic choice, not just bad grammar :)
