I’m so sorry you’re not enjoying your break, Briella! And sorry if I’m at all contributing to the boredom – I’m trying to balance personal and kingdom life more, but I’ve never been the best at multi-tasking, you know. Is there something you’d like to do? I can carve some time out and we can spend the afternoon together or something. Or if all you’re really looking for are some new books, why not see what Mother has in her library? I’m sure she’s got books we’ve never even heard of before in there.

It’s okay, I know you have a million other things to do which doesn’t consist of entertaining me. I know you’ve been busy, you’re always busy. Wow, you can carve some time out for me? It must be my birthday or something! I’d love to do something with you Ben. Then after that I’ll definitely check out her library, thank you.

Ah, how I love to be called a genius, thank you! Well, you know Lyssa and LJ would be in, and not just because they’re Lumiere and Cogsworth’s daughters; they love reading just as much as you and I do! We can ask them and then maybe make a post about it asking if anyone else would be interested? And that’s okay, tarot is something one has to learn; I’ve been practicing with the cards since I was back on the Isle and I’d like to say I’m kind of okay with them by now. It’s really a mix of memorization of card meanings and also following intuition. Have you ever had a reading before?

That’s actually a great plan, let’s do that. Besides, if no one else wants to join, it could be pretty fun with just the four of us, but I’m sure there’s other people would love a good book club. Wow, that’s really cool! I’ve never known how they worked before.. Did someone teach you or did you just sort of learn on your own? I’ve never had a reading before.

Hey, nothing wrong with simple recipes! Sometimes simple recipes done best are the best foods you can find – or at least, that’s what I was raised believing. And hey, joining a summer sports league is a great idea for anybody, not just those who are already good at sports; it could help you get better at sports, or it could also just give you a place to socialize. Just make sure you pick one where everyone else is also there just for fun, not competition. I could picture you as a swimmer maybe, or even dodgeball? Just something fun!

What are some things that you enjoy baking or cooking? I’m sure you’re great at it, too. And yeah, I suppose you’re right. I’ll just have to find the right people to play with. Wouldn’t want anyone getting mad at me for being terrible, right? Swimming does actually sound amazing, thank you for the recommendation! I can see myself getting seriously injured when it comes to dodgeball. But a great way to take out anger!

You should start a book club! I know there would be tons of other kids in the castle who’d want to join something like that, and the only thing better than reading books is reading books with friends. Oh, or you could learn how to do tarot readings! I’ve been really into that lately and it’s so fun just expanding my spiritual side, you know? Oh, or collecting crystals! 

Oh my gosh, you are a genius! A book club would be wonderful. Now I will just need to think how I can actually start one. I’m sorry, I’m actually not sure what tarots are.. You know how to use them?

Baking and eating are always a good option. What have you been baking? As for ideas to keep you occupied, I’ll always advocate joining some sort of summer sports league! There’s nothing that feels as good as keeping active. 

Oh my baking skills are very simple but I like to pretend I am good at it. I just baked some simple cookies, brownies, muffins, and cakes. Anything beyond that sort of level will not end well. That’s a great idea! Only thing is, I’m not great at sports.

This has felt like the longest summer ever. I’ve read every book that I own, baked, painted, ate everything I could think of and the list goes on. Is there a chance you have any ideas that I can do to pass the rest of the summer? I’ve never been so bored and so ready for school to start.
