» What the fuck are they — OOF. You slide your foot back to brace for impact and kiss them back, though you almost fall over.
“How do you have this much energy …” you wonder at them, carrying them inside as they bid. You kick the door open and close it with your foot once you’re in. And you plop down on the couch with them.
>You continue to plant short kisses all over their face, snickering with your warm, flustered face. You really were quite drunk. Once you're on the couch, you wiggle onto their lap and pinch their cheeks and pulling them slightly.
"Trafffyyyyy why aren't your cheeks stretchier? They're like...concrete!"
>Nothing you are saying is making sense. Figures.
» You, somehow, make your way over to Luffy’s. What a mess. You might have counted on going over to their place earlier, were you in a better place to do so.
» But here you are, anyway. Incredible.
>You jump outside, looking around eagerly for your partner as he shows up. You shout excitedly at him, not really sure what words are coming out of your mouth, it's really just a jumbled yelp.
"TRAFFFYYYYY!"
>You practically pounce onto him with a big grin, kissing him with a loud SMACK.
"Come onnnn carry me inside!!"

zoroooo give me a bedtime smoocharoo im tired and i cant sleep _3_
» you waddle into the bedroom to flop on luffy. and you kiss their temple wordlessly.
» you shift onto your back and adjust them more comfortably. lullabies, huh …
"sure, i guess. what do you wanna hear?"
"Uhh...sing me your favorite song but to the tune of rock-a-by baby!"
>you beam at the other, yawning with a drowsy expression.
zoroooo give me a bedtime smoocharoo im tired and i cant sleep _3_
» you waddle into the bedroom to flop on luffy. and you kiss their temple wordlessly.
>you snicker happily to yourself, draping your arms around the green haired man, nuzzling him affectionately. you sure are tired.
"Zoroooo will you sing me a lullaby????"
i neeeed to be tucked in!!! wheres zoro >_>
You feel bad, of course, when they pull that face. But you know they’ll be fine. In fact, you think they’ll take that whole try again thing seriously, and maybe they should. You’re not one for huge fanfare with your romance, but you think it should be at least somewhat sentimental instead of barked at you during a final, like a demand.
Who would have thought you’d even be thinking that.
You finish your final, very pointedly keeping your head down as you write. Its over soon enough, and you’re the first one out of there to try to find Luffy. If they’re not out in the car or at home … Well, they’re probably in the cafeteria. You trek off to find them sure enough, in the cafeteria. You smirk a little because you were right, drawing closer to them. You sit opposite, arms on the table.
"Where’d you get the whole marriage idea?" you ask them. It seems sudden; you know them well enough to see that it wasn’t something they’d mulled over for very long.
You barely notice when Law sits across from you, but his voice brings you back to the real world and not getting lost in your baseless ideas. His question is fair, though--even if nothing you do is ever planned, it is kind of a weird thing to ask so suddenly. Not that anyone would expect anything else from you, but still.
You take a sip of your soda, shrugging. "Sanji told me about it. Sounded like fun, and marrying you sounded like a good idea. Right? I think it's a good idea. Don't you?" You ask, plopping a tater tot into your mouth quickly.
"Like, the reception has a lot of food and we get to be together forever, and i think that sounds cool! I was planning on staying with you forever, but celebrating it with lots of food a party sounds like a lot of fun!"
You finish up your soda, letting out a loud burp before standing up. You grab hold of his hand with both of yours, beaming up at him happily. You've obviously gotten over being upset, but you weren't backing down on this challenge yet.
"Let's go to the grocery store!"
You’re in your zone, your element. You’ve studied so hard you thought you’d drop, to the point that you had to let some other things fall to the wayside. Like sleep, and dates. You feel bad about that (and you certainly feel tired), but this is it. You’re confident. Soon you can take Luffy wherever they want to go again.
The thought makes you smile.
You burn through the questions with practiced ease, but you don’t get too cocky. Your professor has been known to be a total ass, been known to throw curveballs.
The curveball you weren’t expecting, however, come barreling through the door at something like ninety miles per hour. For a split second you think something is wrong, horribly wrong — Oh, God, what happened to Uncle Cora —
Until they belt out their confident proposal. You drop your pencil.
Your face heats up so much you think you might very well melt through your seat, and you can feel eyes on you, hear the bewildered laughter after a few horribly long moments. You blank.
"Luffy …"
Marrying Luffy … Tuxedos … Planning … Reception … Flowers … Honeymoon … STRESS. It all comes to you in flashes, and you think you might want to, but not after a proposal like that. You suck in a deep breath and you swear even the professor is waiting for your reaction.
You tell them, evenly, “… Try again.”
You're waiting for his answer, your face heating up a little at the same time. You are totally sure he'll say yes, that he'll smile and nod and go Yes Luffy! Marriage sounds TOTALLY awesome! You are extremely confident in this.
But that mindset of yours is proven wrong as he simply tells you to 'try again'.
...That's now how that was supposed to go.
You huff and pout in your boyfriend's direction, face hot as you stomp out. You'll be over it soon, be he was supposed to say yes! And what does he mean, try again? That was the perfect way to ask! You cross your arms and realize your body is too tired to run back home, so you decide to sit and wait outside for Law to finish up his final. While you wait, you will think up a better way.
Try again, huh? Well, it sounds like a challenge, and you're always one for challenges!
You head to the cafeteria, buy some food and sit and think about what you can do this time.
Buy flowers? No, that's too simple. Maybe at the grocery store? When he's buying you meat that's one of the best feelings in the world, it could work. You take a bite into you hamburger as you plan it out mentally, thinking of different ways.
You will marry Law, you've already decided. Now it's just time to get him to agree. He didn't say no, after all.
You're running, running, running as fast as your legs can handle taking you--your destination is a medical school campus, that you can't even remember the name of but you remember where it's at. You have something important you need to tell Law--you think he said it's Finals time, but that didn't really matter. Your question is much more important!
Sanji had told you all about marriage, how beautiful and wonderful it was, and you honestly had never felt any sort of romantic feelings for anyone until you met Law. So you knew nothing about marriage, but how Sanji described it to you, you knew that you wanted to marry Law.
So you kind of just made a last minute decision and left your apartment in a hurry, yelling a 'thanks!' back in the blonde's direction. He probably would have been taken aback, if it wasn't you bolting off with this so-called "wild" idea. You don't think it's that wild, though. It's simple!
You just have to ask him! No big deal, right?
Marriage is apparently a big deal, but you don't think it'd be a big deal with you and your boyfriend. You practically live with him at this point, and apparently marriage ceremonies and receptions have a lot of food, and honestly--that's your kind of celebration.
You think about spending the rest of your life with Law, and it's easy enough to imagine, that you think it could totally happen. But you have to ask him first, of course. Sanji said something about a romantic proposal, but that was never your strong point. Things with you and Law are more casual, so it's only natural that you ask it casually, too!
If you consider bursting into a classroom unexpectedly and shouting the question at your boyfriend 'casual', at least.
You stop right outside the door, peeking in to make sure you got the right room. Luckily enough, you saw Law sitting there, taking that exam along with the other students around him. Perfect, you think to yourself. Found him on the first try!
So you kick open the door, staring straight at your poor, unfortunate, beautiful boyfriend before shouting confidently:
"MARRY ME, LAW!!"
You are totally good at this, you pat yourself on the back mentally. This wasn't that hard after all!
» You manage to get into your car, yawning as you go. You keep your music quiet, nothing too energetic. They’re already waiting when you pull up, thankfully.
>Youre face brightens as you seen Law pull up, and you jump into the car quickly. It was cold as fuck outside, and the car is warn.
"I brought you a surprise!! But you can't have it till we get to your place."
>You unbutton your coat and sigh happily as you enjoy the car's warmth compared to the chilling weather outside. You weren't even out there for long, too.
>You sit outside, huddled up in your coat, looking out for when your boyfriend gets here to pick you up. You're hiding a bag of cookies in your coat, a nice surprise for Law hopefully--you've done everything you call to not eat them. You gave in and end up eating some, but managed to save at least half for him. You made them from pre-made cookie dough, with of course Sanji there making sure you don't burn down the kitchen again.
>Oh yeah, and you brought some lotion. It's actually Sanji's, but you'll return to him later. It's coconut or something like that, but it helps with rubbing an unfortunate, stressed med student during finals time.
do you want me to come over???
That’d be nice. You getting a ride or should I come get you?
You gotta come get me...I'll wait outside for you!!
