Sorry I haven’t been very active, work has been 9_6 really exhausting n on top of that... i’m in bed with a stomach flu today WAHAHA

Silque let out a small sigh. She knew that he was just doing it to mess around with her, though, so she didn’t let it get to her nerves that much. The blasphemy she could overlook—she’d met many like him and there was no point in getting worked up about a difference in beliefs. It was the drinking part that got to her.

“Paison, if you truly wish to drink with a Mila Idol, I can assure you that it is difficult for a stone statue to ‘let loose’.”

Suddenly feeling a familiar warmth in the air, she gasped slightly at the sensation. Her prayers had, at the very least, been acknowledged. The cheese that she had moved in front of her as the offering faded away, leaving behind an empty plate; it was an acknowledgement that the Mila Idol had accepted her offering.

“I can feel the warmth of Mila’s Blessing.”

Paison laughed. Silque was tough, holding out for this long without at least smacking him, or something. Not that he wanted her to. As much as he wanted to see how much it took to aggravate the sisters, he would rather prefer to avoid pain. 

Just as Paison was going to reply, the cheese disappeared, the surprise stealing his words. He was sure Silque had seen it plenty of times judging from how she was content, but this was the archer’s first time seeing it take offerings.

⚜ |  Whether it was to embarrass the archer or not, Luka’s words rung truth.  If he had the chance, he’d compliment further, even touching on the subject of Paison’s talent with the bow, despite the apathetic man not having interest in doing anything else besides sleeping and visiting the nearest taverns.  He would still lend his bow when it was most needed.  After travelling with the Liberation army for a while, Luka certainly knew more than what appeared on the surface.

With his hands still in place behind his back, he began a slow dainty walk to his side as if retreating.  He then made a sudden stop, returning his gaze back towards Paison.

❝ … Would you like to take a walk with me ? ❞

Paison weighed his options. Stay and eventually get caught and lectured by Fols, or at least do something easygoing with someone who wasn’t going to chew him out. The archer exhaled. The answer was obvious.

Getting up from his spot, he slung his arrows on his shoulder and picked up his bow. Despite the fact that Luka was just making it sound like more training, it could be fun.
