One Royal Holiday sneak peek
guess who is going to try and take halloween off from work just so she can watch a christmas movie. if you guessed me then you are right.
( if you think i have enough self-control to not add james ( aaron’s character from one royal holiday ) to my list of muses then you clearly do not know me. )
Of course they put the HD one on the website an hour after I post my recording of my tv 😂

This was the longest Tommy had been in a relationship. At the very least this was the longest Tommy had remained faithful in a relationship. He knew himself though. He had to keep it interesting or he’d get bored. This was that. Abby did her part by wearing sexy dresses when Tommy didn’t expect it, or buying nice lingerie.
As they approached the downtown area they were met with traffic, which was fine because Tommy was enjoying his time with Abby. “I love you too.” He says with a small smile as he glances over at her. “Since we’re going to be here for a while. Guess I can spoil the rest of this, right?”
Abby cannot help but smile at his words, earning another gentle squeeze to his hand. The amount of traffic doesn’t bother her all that much. If anything, it’s expected in downtown, especially on a Friday night. Depending on how much alcohol they’ll be having while bar hopping, it’s a very good they won’t have work the following morning.
Spoil the rest of this? “Are you telling me you have more planned for us tonight?”
tommyatlaw:
“Gettysburg has nothing on New Orleans.” Of course not. Not to Tommy, anyway. He was Lousiana born and bred. New Orleans had quite the reputation and there were a few sites Tommy had always wanted to check out but never got around to it. A one year anniversary in the fall seemed pretty perfect. Hopefully it was memorable and not traumatizing.
“Not long, honestly. I knew I wanted to do something different but I didn’t know what. This popped into my head and it was a no brainer. I wasn’t sure if you’d be into it.”
“I was just saying I’ve been on a ghost tour before.” So the idea of going on one with her boyfriend for their one year anniversary didn’t make her feel uncomfortable. At the same time, she isn’t really expecting them to see anything. But who knows? With enough alcohol in their systems they could begin imagining things that are not really there.
“I have to say, it’s not something I personally would’ve thought of. But it’s different, I like that.” Abby says as she turns to smile at him. Moving a hand over to take one of his own that wasn’t resting on the steering wheel, squeezing gently. “I love you.”
tommyatlaw:
“The cheesy gift is the least of my worries.” She had no idea what she was in for. The engine of his sports car roars as he pulls out of his parking space and onto the road. “We’re having dinner in the French Quarter.” It was no secret that Tommy loved the area, and the food. It wasn’t just dinner though but he didn’t want to tell her the big secret. “Then I thought we could do a bar hopping ghost tour.” God knows the two of them could use some excitement. “Don’t worry, I thought ahead and I packed you comfortable shoes.” It wasn’t planned out that way, it just worked that way. He didn’t know she would be wearing a dress and heels but he just thought it was smart to pack sneakers for an overnight trip. He did forget to pack her a jacket but she could use his. “So hopefully you’re not too scared or drunk for it.”
He glances at her out of the corner of his eyes to get her reaction, then looks back to the road. “You also have to promise not to tell Alejandra we did this.”
Abby happily listens to Tommy as he describes what the rest of the evening will look like. The mention of having dinner in the French Quarter doesn’t serve as a shock to her too much. Knowing how much he loved the area. It’s the mention of a bar hopping ghost tour that manages to catch her off guard. That must’ve been the surprise he was referring to. Honestly, she didn’t realize that was a thing. “I’ll take it easy on the drinks tonight then.” If that’s even allowed. If she would’ve known of the surprise in advance she may have chosen not to wear the dress or at least brought something else to change into. She’ll make do, though. At least he thought ahead in bringing along a pair of sneakers for her to wear. “But you don’t have to worry about me. When I was a kid my parents took me on a ghost tour in Gettysburg. I can’t recall seeing any ghosts, but it was fun.” She also wasn’t drinking at the time, obviously. So this could prove to be an interesting experience tonight.
“I promise.” While Abby doesn’t say it out loud, she does use her index finger to cross her heart over her chest. Word of tonight will not be getting back to Tommy’s friend. “How long have you been planning this?”

By pulling some strings, Abby’s father was somehow able to get Abby an internship working for Senator Healy. The position itself is only temporary. Five to six months max. Politics might not be her study of choice. Regardless, this is something that will look nice on her resumé when she officially begins applying for jobs. Still needing to finish her last year of college and take the bar exam before that can happen. One step at a time.
You can do this.
Abby is staring up at the building she’ll be working in for the next few months. The reality of the situation finally sinking in. Having thought she mentally prepared to be working for someone who is frequently seen over the news. Well, apparently not. But it’s far too late to simply turn around and head home now. She has her purse slung over her right shoulder, carrying her lunch bag in her opposite hand as she walks inside. Making sure that her smile never once falters as she follows the directions she was given in the email until she arrives at Healy’s office. Well, more or less.
“Abigail Sinclair.” She introduces herself to who she assumes to be his secretary. “Senator Healy said he’d be away for a few hours, but that Mr. Ritter would be showing me around.” His chief of staff, if her memory holds true. After the secretary states that she’ll get a hold of him, Abby moves to go sit down in one of the available chairs for the time being.
Look at this godforsaken mess that you made me You showed me colors you know I can’t see with anyone else
