I got fired 2.5 moths ago, a week before my birthday, because "someone" said I didn't like working there. What it was:My lazy ass micromanaging, insecure supervisor was in her feelings because I turned her in for fucking up my payroll.She then made the following 60 days hell trying to make me quit-when I didn't, she just fired me.

I need a signal boost. I need to move some shirts-like I mentioned before, I have to leave where I am by no later than 10-31. Luckily, I still have my Nissan Maxine, but I have no clue what is wrong with her…shirts=$$ and $$ repairs and gas. Also, I’m taking commissions because I haven’t had any call backs…

It has come to this. I’ve literally lost everything and everyone I care about in less than a year. If you have a friend or family member that is trying to take a chance and follow their dream, either cheer them on, or shut the fuck up and get out of the way. At every goddamn turn, I’ve been discouraged or delayed by my own relatives(I refuse to call them family). WHY? Because I don’t fit a narrative they understand. Social media and IRL family and people that have commissioned me, donated and supported my attempt at starting a business. I am forever grateful and I love you. I’m down but not out. *poorly done Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonation* I’ll be back.

So believe it or not, I was going to update because I recently got let go and I have time to draw comics and commissions in between job searching. I'm thinking about starting up some marketing to drum up some business, what do you think? LOL I'm sorry to my followers if you're waiting on new stuff, I'm one of "those artists" You know, the "I'm motivated by how I feel" and lately hasn't been that good. Excuse #2 is I recently hit the reset button on my life and I had to take what I could carry, and I forgot about my sketchbooks that had coherent timelines I wanted to draw-I remember some of those ideas so I'm starting over. Going back to excuse #1 and the picture, I realized that I have a love hate relationship with freelancing. Money is one of my motivators, and it hasn't yielded much, mostly because of my inexperience and insecurity as an illustrator, so it's my own fault that I haven't gotten as far as I hoped... I realize now that self care is important and I'm slowly unpacking my baggage and getting back on the art business horse, so I have no choice but to make comics and share my experiences about it. Thanks for the following and the shares I really appreciate the support from all 8 of you. Kidding. Thanks for the love folks 😘
