today at a UC Berkeley student hearing , it was ruled that Omar Pedroza would stay expelled for raping survivor Stephanie who is courageously and publicly exposing what he did to her. This was after UCB informed us last minute that the location of the hearing would be changed and AFTER the administration decided to physically hide Omar, having him Skype during the hearing instead. Despite all of the unexpected last minute changes, Stephanie's allies and supporters were able to rally and make enough noise to draw multiple interviews including one with CBS news. The result is a victorious one, historically marking only the fourth expulsion of a rapist at Berkeley since its inception. Times are changing, slowly but surely.
