Flowers in a Neoregelia bromeliad.
Puya hybrid
This puya is looking great this year, and I believe it to be a hybrid of Puya spathacea. However, it has overgrown its label, and if you know puyas, you will understand why I am reluctant to try to retrieve it (hint - blood will flow!). In any case, its colors are amazing - petals turning from turquoise to purple, and the stalk and bracts adding in pinks and wine. Puyas belong to the Bromeliad Family, and are native to South America.

This might be the latest, and biggest, bloom off Billbergia nutans yet. There's probably about 50 inflorescences blooming or emerging so far!
Tillandsia streptocarpa- very fragrant airplant!

Got three new bromeliads. Pitcher plant appears to be growing a viable tendril this time, so we may have a pitcher soon.
Tillandsia kautskyi.

My air plant is blooming! They only bloom once in their life. After this the mother plant will start producing pups and will slowly die.
Epiphytic bromeliads in Peru.
I'm going to try to post more plants I never talk about because they basically need nothing from me, besides occasional watering and in some cases, protection from freezing. This unlabeled neoregelia has been effortlessly gorgeous all year.
Also from that tree: Tillandsia recurvata seeds germinating on their own seedpod.
