Yuka Takaoka [Japanese: ι«ε²‘η±δ½³] was born on January 28th, 1998. Yuka was an only child to mother and father. She went to university but would later drop out in 2017. After this, she got a job at a hostess club. She was a manager.
Soon after, she met Phoenix Luna. He would become her boyfriend. Luna worked at a nightclub called Fusion by Youth in Shinjuku's Kabukicho red-light district. The pair met in October. They would move in together on May 20th. Takaoka was very in love with him. At his club, Luna was very popular.
Takaoka claims that she had found a photo that appeared to show Luna lying with another woman. It seemed intimate. He came home at a late time and went to bed.
Yuka Takaoka would take a kitchen knife and stab Phoenix Luna as he slept. She hit him in the stomach, which caused damage to his liver. They got into a physical fight and Luna ran out of the room and passed out near the elevator in the lobby. Takaoka grabbed her glasses, cigarettes, and cell phone and chased him. She sat next to him in the lobby. Officers arrived at the scene. She was smoking a cigarette while taking a phone call. Takaoka was going to take her life after watching Luna die, but was arrested instead. Luna was in a coma but he did survive. He had liver damage that he says caused him to no longer be able to drink. He was also in a coma for 5 days.
Yuka was sentenced to 3 Β½ years in jail for attempted murder on December 5th, 2019. She paid him Β₯5,000,000 in a lawsuit. This is around $30,565 USD. She served her whole sentence and gained notoriety because of her looks. 2023 is when she made her return to regular life. She now streams, cosplays, and is not too active online, but she is definitely around.
Yuka bought the knife the day of the attack. She claims it was not meant to be used in this way. It was for cooking.
Yuka claims she was regretful when she stabbed him because of his facial expression.
She wrote him an apology letter.
βSince I loved him so much, I just couldnβt help it. After killing [him], I, too, wanted to die.β
βI was sad and seeking to die, and I thought how I would like to go about it. I thought I would kill him because I thought that was how I could be with him. I thought that expressions such as βI like youβ and βI would like to be with youβ would become a reality if [we both] die.β
