“I’m sure she’s snagged one of them by now,” she mused, smile tugging at her lips as she dropped her arms from his neck and slipped her hand into his. “But I do love a good show.”
Blake grinned and pressed a quick kiss to her forehead. “Follow me,” he said, holding onto her hand tightly as he pulled her through the crowd of party goers towards the basement.

“You’ve got me all night, babe,” she assured him, reaching for his hand and giving it a squeeze.
“Thank goodness,” he said, leaning in to press one more kiss to her lips. “I invited the guys like you asked, and I saw your friend Mary walk in a little while ago. Shall we go see if she’s taken a liking to any of her suitors?”

Leila giggled as he spun her around, a smile instantly lighting up her face as their eyes met. “C'mon, Blake. You know I never miss a party,” she said over the music, grinning as she slipped her arms around his neck to pull his face back to hers.
Blake’s arms locked around her waist and lifted her off the ground slightly, pulling away before he could get too carried away. “I haven’t seen you all week and I’m in desperate need of some Leila time.”
As soon as Blake saw Leila and her sisters walk in, a smile broke across his face and he started moving towards her. As soon as he reached her, he took her hand and spun her in a quick circle before dropping her into a dip. He pulled her back up to him, his smile widening. “Glad you could make it,” he said, leaning in to give her a quick kiss.

She let out a content sigh, her eyes fluttering shut. “Slightly less crappy.”
“Good,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to her hair.

“That’s a start,” he said, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.

Leila grinned despite her nausea, comforted by the steady beat of his heart. “Good.”
He rested his chin on top of her head, rubbing gentle circles on her back. “Feeling any better?”

Leila giggled, curling into him. “Hey, your ass is mine, Russo.”
“Always,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.

A soft laugh slipped from her lips, her eyes fluttering shut for a second. “Is the nurse gonna get mad if you come in?” she asked, patting the space next to her. “Being curled up in a ball would be a little better if it was against you.”
“The nurse can kiss my ass,” he murmured, grinning before he climbed into the bed next to her, his arms wrapping around her and pulling her closer.

Leila grinned, tilting her chin forward to catch his lips briefly. “Am I at least a better kisser than the dummy?”
“I don’t know, it’s pretty close,” he teased, leaning his forehead against hers.

Leila smiled against his lips, pulling away slightly after a second. “It’s amazing that you can still kiss me in this state.”
“I taught CPR with a dummy from the ‘80′s,” he murmured, brushing his nose against hers. “This is nothing,” he finished, a teasing smile playing at his lips.

Leila smiled, leaning into his hand. “I’m gonna be fine,” she whispered, though she wasn’t sure she believed it.
“I know you are,” he replied, leaning in to press his lips to hers.

Leila grinned, a few tears slipping down her cheeks. “I told you you were going to make me cry.”
He laughed softly, brushing away the tears with his thumb. “I’m sorry, I couldn’t help it.”

Leila closed her eyes for a second to stop a tear from slipping out. “Stop, my emotions are out of wack and you’re gonna make me cry,” she said with a halfhearted laugh.
He smiled, reaching out to cup her cheek. “I love you so much,” he said, running his thumb over her cheek.

Leila laughed softly, smiling as she looked down at their hands. “You make everything better.”
“You make it worth it.”

“Stay with me and you’re golden,” she murmured, a small smile coming to her lips when he brought his hand to his lips.
“I’d like to see someone try and get rid of me,” he teased, lacing his fingers through hers.

“I’m pretty sure that anything going into me right now is going to come right back out and it’s not gonna be pretty,” she mumbled, letting out a soft sigh. “Thanks for asking, though. Maybe later,” she said, reaching to give his hand a weak squeeze.
He sighed, bringing her hand to his lips. “Is there anything I can do?”
