Cleo nodded, she did know how Dani felt. She liked Arthur and thought he was a really sweet guy, but if he even looked at Giselle the wrong way Cleo wouldn’t hesitate to beat him up for it and Cleo knew that Dani was the same way.”Yea I figured that” She nodded a bit nervously. “and I know Mal would help you if that was ever the case” Cleo chuckled lightly. Cleo’s smile brightened, she didn’t think that simply dating her was making Evie happier, but she was happy to hear that it was. “I guess so, I didn’t see much of Evie myself until we started dating.” Cleo shrugged. “I do know that I’ve been a happier person since I began dating your sister.” Cleo sighed and looked up at Dani. “I guess I should thank you as well, for helping make Evie who she is”
Dani knew that if there was one person who might get how she was feeling right now it was likely Cleo would, being a big sister - it was something not everyone understood. The fact that Cleo was infact a decent person it did help and she liked the girl well enough, and yes - she did make her little sister happy, but - that was the thing, Evie was her little sister. Perhaps there was a small part of her still not wanting to believe Evie was old enough to date and actually be with someone still, but if she had to, at least Cleo would take care of her, that was something good at least. “Oh I’m sure I could get more than Mal to help me with that...” she gave a small chuckle, tilting her head as she spoke, “Evie is a very loved person, I’m sure you know that already though. She’s special.” Dani quickly blinked, Cleo’s words making her pause as she gives a look of slight confusion, “Me? I mean... Evie is.. Evie.. I’m not sure how much I played a hand in making her who she is today.. she’s..” Dani paused, shaking her head - there was no question for Dani, Evie was a far better person than she herself was. “If anything.. Evie had made me a better person.”
