There really wasn’t anything that Jono had to worry about - Bobby was soft, scary, but soft, and he would undoubtedly take him back without question. But Jono, while he claimed not to feel things the way Americans did, or bothered to deal or even confront his emotions like they did, he was a little nervous. Bobby insisted that he didn’t have to leave, but Jono being Jono, insisted that he had to.
He hadn’t felt safe there and didn’t think Bobby was either if he stayed, even if the guy could reform from water vapor the same way that Jono could from psionic energy. It was more of a fear than anything - he supposed that accident with Gayle really messed him up more than he expected. After a few raps on the door, Jono crinkled his eyes to simulate a smile when he saw Bobby on the other side. “I know it’s only been a few days, maybe a week, but I hope my old bed’s not taken?”

Peter just stared, slack jawed and in disbelief, at the sight before him. The figures in front of him looked as if they had just walked off the set of Game of Thrones, but that wasn’t possible. He could see the way the air chilled around the edges of the figures’ skin and started to smile.
“Is that Frosty under all that ice sculpting?” Peter joked and gestured to Bobby with his cup, though he looked to the ‘dragon’ with apprehension. “What is that, dude?”

“Look, kid,” he started, arms crossed over his chest. “I get it. Normally I’d be totally down for you to get your drink on, but the rules are rules.” Sometimes he had to think as if these were his kids - would he want them to go out and get hammered? No, not really. He didn’t have that guiding parental figure (none that didn’t threaten his life, of course), so he wanted to be that for someone - which was probably what he was projecting onto Groot as he aged into, what he assumed was, a teenager. Peter shrugged, “I can’t let you in.” He ushered the small group aside to allow some other people in.
Just as suddenly as he turned to see to the legal guests, he was struck from behind. Pissed, and soon to be sore, Peter whirled around to find one of the drunken club goers at the entrance behind him holding a broken beer bottle. Narrowing his eyes, he reached a hand up only to feel the warmth of blood and sighed. “Dude, not cool.” With his bloodied hand, Peter grabbed the clubber by the front of his shirt and tossed him down the stairs. It would likely grab the attention of the cops, but honestly, he didn’t care much. Turning to the blonde that was next in line, and outstretched his non-bloody hand. “ID, please.” Oh man, this was going to be a long night, wasn’t it?
“Okay I’m going to be honest, I was very loyal to my last trainer until she up and left.” Grace set her bag down in front of Bobby before pulling her hair back. Now that she had some more time on her hands and less love in her life, Grace was trying to encourage herself to be active again, starting with some new sessions with a personal trainer. “So I mean I have some commitment issues here, I can’t have you bailing on me,” she explained as they set up for the work out. “You look like you could be my son, honestly. How long have you been a trainer?” @bcbbyfletcher

sat on the console room, bobby was looking at the different screens, searching for something to do. his latest date had been a mistake all together and the guy a complete idiot. he couldn’t even remember a good time passed with him, nor how he didn’t stepped out sooner considering all the antimutant speech he was being given. tired, and feeling like a failure, heh ad decided on taking guard duty, in order to find something to do. he was still wearing his date’s clothes even if he wasn’t completely comfortable with those shoes. nevertheless, as he waited for something to happen, he was toying with ice next to him. ice beams building the skyscrapper’s of new york on the floor. only for them to vanish all the time. it relaxed him.

“Anything new coming through that thing?” Nathan asked boredly as he clunked a mug of hot sludge water down next to Drake, another equally disgusting one help to his lips with his other hand. Boredom was a state Nathan rarely found himself in, but they were snowed in today (no thanks to all of the weather controllers on board) by a really long ranging storm, and he’d already finished with just about every other task he could possible help with already.
Following her colleagues’ directions, Clara made it from her house and out into the middle of the forest at record speed---climbing out of her clunker of a car to the sight of multiple police cruisers with the lights running at precisely 3.37AM. Okay, so she might have violated a traffic regulation or two, but she hardly thought that mattered when it was in the middle of the night as well as quite possibly literally a matter of life and death. Surveying the scene, she was quickly approached by another officer who went on to greet her, offer up her service pistol and chide her for not being in uniform, all in the same breath.
“Give me a break,” the deputy shot back as she accepted the gun seemingly without question, although how on Earth her coworkers managed to get into her locker was certainly an enquiry for another time. “I woke up 20 minutes ago.”
A short, mirthless laugh followed in response, after which the two of them joined the ranks of uniformed officers making their way into the woods with nothing but a series of flashlights and an anonymous man’s words to guide them. She let them take the lead, and there was a part of Clara that almost hoped this was nothing but an idiot’s idea of a practical joke; but as the group converged upon the indicated location only to find a single man and a freshly dug grave, the likelihood of that dramatically decreased.
“Rapids County Sheriff’s Department. Put your hands in the air.”
After the collective announcement, the brunette holstered her gun and slowly emerged from the back of the crowd, her civilian outfit standing in stark contrast to the uniformed officers flanking her on either side. It created an entirely unnecessary dramatic effect, but then again---she didn’t know how to make an entrance for nothing. “Let me guess,” Clara started, sounding much calmer than she actually felt. But it wasn’t like she was about to show the urgency with which she wanted to find out what (or who) was at the bottom of that grave. “We have a mutual friend named Wyatt Hartman.”
