Artist statement video final
My movie is about the passage of time and the wear it has. The film follows a young man (played by me) whose days are lack luster and dull but sees something more and follows it by letting go (he kills himself). To help show the story I used my GoPro to illustrate the view of the character. By jumping between my main camera and the GoPro I was able to shoot my movie in a way that makes it better than if it did not have the first-person view. The sound I use is a drum beat recorded from my friend who is a member of the jazz ensemble. This beat perpetuates the short film auditorily and also is a way of representing the life of the young man stopping after he jumps.
