[Yuan nodded.  He’d heard that the group’s supposed name was The Exterminators, and said name had given it’s own hints as to what their goal was.  And the girl’s concern for her friends wasn’t unfounded, nor was it something that only she feared.  Yuan had his own worries for the half-elves that had worked under him.  They were, after all, the closest things he had to ‘friends.’  And if Martel and Mithos were truly alive, they, too, could eventually be hunted.  Along with Yuan himself.

But the former Seraphim showed none of this worry.  His expression remained attentive and thoughtful.  As far as the Yggdrasills went, Yuan had little to worry about.  If there was anything he trusted Mithos with, it was keeping his sister safe.  And as far as the former Renegades went.  They had all pledged themselves to die long ago.  They all knew the true nature of this world.  And while Yuan wished and hoped that they’d be able to live peacefully the rest of their lives, he, as well as they, knew that it would remain a struggle.]

[The comment about hooded people visiting officials, however, was something the blue haired man had not heard about. He would have asked if she could give him more information about that, like which ‘important people’ they visited.  But it was already pretty evident that that was all she knew.  He would have to have people investigate it.]

[The older man was already planning how to arrange the rest of his small group as the girl spoke again, so he didn’t comprehend it for an extra second or two.] “hm— Go with you?” [It was true that Raine and her brother were in potential danger, but he needed to get to work here.  He didn’t have time to take a detour, and he was sure the pair could fend for themse—]

 ~*~WEEUH WEEUH WEEUH WEEUH~*~

[The alarm cut through the man’s thoughts, his green eyes widening in shock as he shot out of his chair.] “What!?” [He easily forgot about the girls question, and even that she was there. There weren’t enough people here, only a couple hand fulls.  Yuan didn’t even wait until someone came and retrieved him, like he normally would.  Within moments he had his weapon and was out of the office, walking briskly, almost jogging, towards the entrance.  Who would break in now!?  Who even knew he was in operation again!?  It couldn’t be Mithos.  Yuan was fairly sure that boy wouldn’t come near him willingly for any reason.

But who else?  The Exterminators?  Green eyes narrowed.  They weren’t that confident yet, were they?  Would they even know about his base?]

“Sir…Yua…n…”

[Easily, one of his men caught his attention.  And instantly he was on guard.  The other half-elf was gravely injured, but Yuan couldn’t tend to him.  He had to find the intruder.  Luckily, with a weak point in the right direction from the dying man, he quickly found him.  A human.  Of course.]

[Without any warning other than the sound of his footsteps, Yuan ran at the other, already swinging his weapon in an attack.  Of course, he didn’t even expect it to make contact.  With how many of his men this human had taken out already, it was obvious he was skilled.  Yuan just wanted to get his attention, and before a counter attack could even be made, the blue haired man hopped back, finally, calmly, addressing the other.] “What are you doing here?”

Colette was watching him as he listened, then he questions it. She really wanted him to come with her, to join her. She didn’t know why but she felt as if Yuan needed to come with her, to join her. She was just about to ask him again when the alarm went off.

She watched the older man get up and move out leaving her there. It had startled her but she was closely behind. Who would attack the renegade’s base? It didn’t make sense, why would someone do that? She moved after Yuan as he went by someone who was injured she bent down and healed him to where he was stable. Though she felt a little bit weaker she put a gel into her mouth and went to where Yuan had gone.

She stopped far enough back to see Yuan with his weapon out addressing a man in a cloak. Was this one of the exterminators? She eyed the man in the cloak wearily, being cautious she took out her chakrams watching him. She didn’t want to fight not here, but she wasn’t going to let Yuan fight on his own either. She was in a stance quiet.

The hooded man quickly sidestepped the massive blade, not even bothering to try and block it with his flimsy rapier. Looking over the weapon in Yuan's hand as the half elf pulled back, a smile cracked across the human's lips. "How could that silly thing possibly be effective? Looks to me as though you might have something to compensate for." He chuckled, twirling his sword loosely by the grip. "Still, I commend you for having the upper body strength to wield a weapon that size. I bet you're special, since you don't wear a helmet like the rest of this trash you call security. Oh, but excuse me, you asked me a question. What was that again?" His back straightened as he pulled his sword arm behind himself to cross his arms against the small of his back, pointing his sword at at the ground loosely.His shoulder blades cracked as he rolled them, loosening himself up for whatever might come.

Colette watched him, then his body tensed up suddenly. He started to speak then stopped, she tilted her head to the side. Then he was offering her inside, she moved in and followed him. Looking around the base it looked about the same. She followed him into his office and looked around a little. “So what do you know about them?” She wanted to know if he knew anything, before she said anything of what she had heard.

[Yuan led the girl into his office and sighed, taking a seat behind his desk.  The blonde seemed more direct than he remembered, but it had been a while since they last met.  It wouldn’t have surprised him if she had matured in that time.]

“I only know the rumors.” [He started, closing his eyes and bringing his elbows onto his desk so he could rest his chin on the back of his now conjoined hands.] “I only recently began investigating them.  It’s why I’m here.” [Another small sigh, frustration at his lack of knowledge showing.  He decided that he wouldn’t mention the Yggdrasill siblings to the girl.  That wouldn’t be an issue unless she had seen them.  But sharing his information on this issue could only prove beneficial.] “I know there have been growing attacks on half-elves, and that they seem to be connected by some form of organization.  Unfortunately that is all I know as of now.  How about you?  Have you heard anything else?”

Colette took a seat and listened to him, this was an important manor to her. She shifted some when she heard his sigh of frustration. So it took news to reach him, that didn’t sound good, but then she knew Yuan would help too since he was looking into it. She shifted some looking down some till he directed questions to her.

She looked up at him and took a deep breath. This was important, she wanted to protect her friends. “The group.. is called.. the exterminators. At least thats what the people have been whispering. They are out to kill half-elves, and anyone thats in their way.” She looked distraught, everything they worked for was falling apart. Mithos’ nightmare was becoming a reality, she shook her head slightly. “I’m worried for my friends, we know quite alot of half-elves. The people, have been saying strange things though. Like hooded people coming and going from important people, but I don’t know if that means anything.” 

She took a breath and looked up at Yuan. “Will you come with me to Iselia Yuan? There are a few people who know that Raine and Genis are half-elves, and they helped us unite the worlds.”

Ah, Triet!

Nice and warm. Does the old bones some good, nothing like Flanoir. Even with his heavy clothing, the notoriously cruel and unforgiving desert sun was nothing more than invigorating. There was a spring in the hooded man's step, a bit of a swagger evident from beneath the folds of his green robe. He twirled a small throwing knife by it's ringed grip on one finger with his right hand. This mysterious stranger bounced on his feet across the hard packed sand marking the path ending at the Renegade Base's main entrance. A crossbow bolt burrowed in the ground as it whizzed past his head, the handler of the crossbow already trying to reload as the man approached. How rude. He hadn't even introduced himself and they were already firing on him. His pace did not slow as the other guard raised his hand into a firm open palmed "halt".

"If you are not a half-elf, you are not welcome here. Halt and identify yourself or be immediately shot!" Oh, charming. The promise of more bolts. The hooded man's soon-to-be hosts were quite the friendly bunch, offering him all of this ammunition. Pity he never carried a crossbow. His Exsphere, resting upon the back of his hand in a silver-plated Key Crest, glinted in the sun as the knife left his hand like a bolt of lightning. The Desian who had called out roared in agony as the blade stuck fast in his palm, falling to his knees and clutching his hand to his chest. His friend fumbled his bolt in surprise, dropping it to the ground. Frantically the Desian reached for the next bolt in his quiver as the man closed the distance between them. The wounded Desian staggered up, grasping his whip with his good hand as he snarled at the approaching hostile. "You'll pay for that, you dirty-" The flat, narrow blade sticking from his chest cut him off quite abruptly. "Oh excuse me, sorry, I shouldn't interrupt, you were saying?" The hooded man's voice was smooth yet aged and masculine, gracefully playing through a pair of narrow smiling lips and the surrounding salt and pepper goatee. Green eyes flashed from within the shadows of the hood as he planted his left hand on the guard's shoulder, shoving him away. The remaining crossbowman fumbled a second bolt, his shaking hands working autonomously as the half-elf's eyes stared in awe at the bloody blade in the hooded man's hand. He had moved so quickly- had it come from beneath his robes? That was the only thing that made sense. It was narrow and slender. With the ornate guard it sported, it must be a rapier. Who used a rapier anymore? The hooded man flicked his blade at the Desian, spattering blood upon his face. Thankfully he did not drop his bolt this time, though it was not going to be doing him any good- with a quick lunge forward, the distance was closed once again and the light blade was playing against the remaining half elf's throat.

"Having some trouble loading from your quiver, half elf?" The man's eyes playfully shined as he put more pressure on the guard's skin, drawing blood. "With your hands quivering like that that, it is no surprise." With a broad smile the hooded man lessened the weight he was pressing against his rapier. Slowly, inexplicably, the blade lowered. The Desian looked at his aggressor curiously. In response, said aggressor shrugged very nonchalantly. "What fun is there in only killing two of you? Don't you have an alarm to raise, boy?"

The crossbow hit the sand with a quiet thump, it's previous owner already frantically working with the gate lock five feet to the left of where he had once stood. After a moment of fumbling, the great doors slid open wide enough to allow him passage. He dove into the building, trying his hardest not to stumble as he called for backup at the top of his lungs. Suddenly, he had a horrific epiphany. In his fear, he had not closed the-

"Hah. Quiver, quivering, I crack m'self up." While his voice was still similar, his tone was more brusque. It was as though he had been putting more effort into making his speech presentable, then suddenly gave up. The traitorous crossbow fell from the hooded man's right hand in unison with it's victim falling to the floor. Looking about, the hooded man admired his surroundings. Snazzy. The whole clean-cut magi-tech inspired look was a nice pick in decoration. Could use a bit more color, though. He'd have to fix that for the proprietor of this fine establishment before he made his escape. After all, a nice splash of red every here and there might make the place look a little more... Welcoming!

But alas, he could not get too carried away with the finer points of interior decoration. He had a lot of work ahead of him.
