dont you love seeing st through a somewhat post-s5 lens? like we're ahead of our time. time-travelers if you will.

watching "there upon a rainbow is the answer to the neverending story" and being like yeah obviously that's directly telling us that the answer to permanently banishing the upside down is mike and will accepting that they're gay homosexuals bc henrys trauma also stems from his sexuality not being accepted & homophobia is a major theme of the whole show.

hearing Murray say they have to water down the truth-- something that the general public doesn't want to hear so it'll be more palletable, and being like yeah that's referring to how they're watering down the story of how homophobia, non-acceptance, and being forced into a life you hate kills so many ppl, and watering down the story of mike & will so that homophobes get bamboozled into watching 5 seasons of an indescribably beautiful gay love story that they otherwise would have bashed instead of taking the time to watch, observe and learn.

hearing Murray talk about how those people LIKE to stay in their current ways (the curtain) and not grow mentally because they're uncomfortable with change and fall into whatever mentality is the loudest and has the most power, while those of us who want to be better-- we actively search under the curtain to look for the truth. we see this story for what it is and watch people deny it every day.

the very point of denying byler is built into the show. it slyly makes a mockery of those people. it's self-aware. it accepts that those people exist, and that they are the majority.

but those of us who can't help but peek under the curtain? we know this show is for US. we know the truth.

finally, we get to win, and watch everyone who denied it have to deal with their discomfort. they'll have to choose whether they accept it, fight it, or whether they turn heel and run. these people encapsulate what the show is trying to prove. that people actively choose to not question their own perspectives, instead of taking a moment to notice all that is right in front of them. that people are blinded by... themselves.

s5 will give them the opportunity to choose acceptance and love over hate and bigotry, and we get to sit back and see who chooses what.
