Winter Solstice

The time of year with the shortest day and the longest night.  The time of year when, through the simplest and most powerful visual display of all, nature and the gods remind us all.  They remind us that, even in the dead of winter, when all seems dead and lost, when the night and the darkness seem unending, the light shall come again.

Attention to all of my Central and Southern California followers!

This is Pumpkin and his sister Kitty. They are both about 8 years old and were dumped off at a shelter in the Santa Clarita Valley after having spent the majority of their lives in a happy home. No one knows exactly why they were abandoned. Aside from both being declawed, they are perfectly healthy. However, they have been trying to find a home for over two months now. 

Pumpkin (the orange kitty) is very sad, due to his being abandoned and is leaning very heavily on his sister for support. The kind people trying to adopt them out desperately want them to be re-homed as a pair, but time is running out for their wish to come true. Please spread the word and help us find someone to make these kitties’ holiday a very special one.
