Educating children

Why is it that we all are expected to learn the same way growing up when each individual is different? You wouldn't ask a fish to climb a tree or ask a bear to fly. Now obviously these are extremes but why is it that when some kids learn differently than one another they are placed in a group that's separate which is good to help them learn but why are they classified as lower or along those lines. No one is better or worse for learning a different way so we could stop making a hierarchy for education and treat all as equals and maybe not have younger schools by area but by teaching methods? You could have children for one year go through the methods and a general school at a young entry and after one year they see where each kid excelled and they can be placed in a school that uses that method? Now this may not be practical but it would assure the best results for most students and then kids wouldn't resent education or at least not as many most likely. Not enough attention and funds is being put into these children and because of that over the years you can see a drop off in social behavior and the overall education of our nation. If we put more into our youth we would have a better generation for the future and just because we missed out on it doesn't mean we shouldn't do anything about them. If it was you wouldn't u want someone looking out for your best interest when you can't? So as a group people need to try and see what is best use tests and practice protocol to see what works and what doesn't and based off the stats do what's best for the kids and the future and stop worrying about your own self benefit for once. This obviously needs to come from the bottom up though because of what's happening with government and we need to show them that this is important and if something is not done things will only get worse in the future because without all of the young minds to their fullest potential we could miss out on an idea that could change the world. We could cut down poverty we would have more better informed elections and decisions. But ultimately there would be less crime and just less evil in the world because of everyone is educated and has morals and good ideas and thoughts and teachings there is a possibility to solve more world problems than we ever thought possible.

How many of you have had someone walk away for something better and you see that person put all they had into someone who will never want them back they way they do? Well that's probably the hardest thing to watch especially when everything they say they want you could give to them but they would never give you the time of day in that situation. What is it with people wanting so badly what they can't have I've been on both ends and there is such a terrible cycle where no one is happy because of it. Feelings are such a hard thing to connect with your brain and what's best. Emotions and thoughts are two completely different things and if you can control those I applauded you because that is the one thing I know for a fact I can not do. I just don't get people including myself why we can never be happy with what we have why is it so hard to be greatful for the things right In front of us rather than chase something we'll never be able to acquire. I can give some of the greatest advice there is now In situations due to life experiences but when I'm placed back in a situation I fall right back into my instincts and go completely against what I said I should do..... The thought of finding love and happiness is becoming smaller and smaller with each painful excuse of an attempt but we keep trying because there is always a small window of hope that we hang onto and hope for so badly on day that our time will come. Everyone wants a fairytale but this is real life sure that may happen once in a blue moon but as a hopeless romantic myself I'm also becoming a realist. Things will not if ever go the way you planned but that's life roll with the punches and get back up and fight back. People now a days take everything to personal get up shake it off and keep moving don't let others dictate your life. Control the three things you can your effort your attitude and your character if you put yourself in the best position to be successful then chances are you'll be a success but things won't come to those who wait things come to those who get up off their ass and go get them so work for what you want and be who you want to be because then the right person will come when you're ready for them. God won't bring rain to the farmer who didn't prepare his field for it he'll bring it to the man who was ready for it and believed it would.

Now a days it's so hard to find someone that puts someone else before themselves. I can honestly say I've met 2 people that are still in my life today that would go out of their way to help me even if it put them in a poor position. And I consider myself blessed to have 1 let alone 2 of these people here for me. The reason so many people are unsatisfied with their own lives today is because everyone is so focused on themselves. When I go out of my way for these 2 people it gives me a sense of happiness that I can't get any other way even doing something twice as good for myself. If you could go out of your way once in a while and then possibly make a habit of it to help others that you don't necessarily have to the world as we know it would be a better place. It all starts with you though, each individual must play his or her part to fix the society we live in today to make for a better tomorrow. You could start with small things like just working with individuals if u see they could use your help and work up to helping you're community and maybe even larger on after that but with people doing things like this it helps in other aspects of society as well. People are more willing to trust someone if they go out of their way in ways like this their also more likely to join if they see their not the first one. People are always looking to follow the right thing but no one is willing to leap out and do the right thing first and lead. If you hold any type of leadership role over anyone these are the things that need to be shared to lead by example. To many officials say one thing then do the other and that also needs to come to a stop but again it all starts with you. All ages races and gender can lead in fact we need that if we don't have everyone contributed to the cause it can never fully be a success and in that case we will never reach our full potential as a society. And even if you don't care maybe your kids will and do you want them growing up in a hard unforgiving place or a place rather where they can be welcomed and helped rather than out on their own. It's all up to you.

My name is John Navarro and I am a journalism major who does not particularly like to write. The plan for when I applied to college as a journalism major was to be a sports guy for the local news or something like that but since then, I have kind of lost interest. I like to write about things that interest me though. For example, I can write all day about football or movies or something because those two things are my two big passions. Football is the biggest part of my life, I believe that it is one of the most competitive and toughest sports to play in the world. In third grade I decided that I wanted to play football, so my parents signed me up for little league. After my first day, some older kid hit me so hard that I instantly thought that I did not want to play anymore, then I went to my dad and he told me that “that’s football”, so i got back out there and it changed my life. I played five years in little league, and my final year I had to make the weight of 135 to play in the game, I weighed about 140 the morning of the game, I didn’t eat anything that day, put on multiple layers of sweatshirts and went behind the field and ran until I couldn’t run anymore. I took off the sweatshirts and stepped on the scale, it said 135 exactly. That moment taught me if i work hard enough for what I want, nothing is impossible. I continued my playing career throughout high school and now into college. I learned one of the most important lessons my senior year of high school. I was voted captain of the team and led the team on to the field game in and game out, when it came to the last game of the year before the playoffs and I thought I broke my finger, so I had the trainer wrap it up and I returned to the game and continued playing. The trainer told me after the game that it would probably be best if i went and saw a doctor just to make sure that I would be okay. So I went to the doctors and they told me that I had a ruptured tendon in my finger and that I would be out for 3 months. I took it pretty hard but then I realized I had two choices, I can sit here and cry about it or I can be a leader to this team that needs me. I chose to continue being a captain to that great team and still showed up to every practice and game after that. This taught me to never give up and sometimes I just have to take what life gives me.

along with you football is also my life except i hadn’t started until i was a sophomore in high school. Playing the game changed my life and made me who i am today building me up and putting me through things that will better prepare me for life when i’m no longer able to play ball anymore. injuries like that are tough to stay strong through im currently going through the same thing currently with my foot but im going to use this story as motivation to be a better leader and still hold a role on the team now seeing as you did so as well.

First Blog! Yeah!!

This is the first post for my blog. Exciting! Right now is Sunday morning and I just start writing it. I was playing computer game for the whole day yesterday and I went out for Buffalo Wild Wings with my friends. Here is the thing I have to say, Never, Ever, order SPICY GARLIC flavor from Buffalo Wild Wings. The smell almost made me cry. It smells so sour!!! Actually at the beginning of this semester, I had my new semester revolution, doing exercise everyday. But after one week, I give up. I can’t weak up early on the weekend. After I woke up around 10, I will start doing my homework, if it is Sunday, otherwise I will just play computer games. I always play Diablo and Hearthstone. I love those games! There is nothing to do but killing all the monsters from the game in Diablo, but I still loves it! I think I will never change. I just love to stay home and playing games everyday. My father thought I am very stupid for just staying home doing nothing but games. I will like it! In high school, I stayed home watching anime everyday, after I went to college; I still stay home all the time. But sometimes I will go to shopping with my friends. I went to shopping with my friend on Friday. It was quite empty in Walden Galleria mall. I thought it would be busy after the new IPhone 6s released. But I think I went too early. The new pink IPhones were not in store yet. I am not a person likes to buy a lot of stuff. My favorite shopping places are actually supermarket. My friends go for shopping and I am only doing window-shopping. I save all my money for food. I have few friends save money for buying expensive bags, shoes or clothes. I never do that. I rather spend money for delicious food. I love all kinds of food, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, everything tastes well, I will go for them. But I don’t like to cook. Usually people who loves food loves cooking, but I am not one of them. I hate cooking. There was only one time I spend 5 hours making the cake, ‘Lady M’. Besides that, I never make cakes anymore. I might try to make a green tea flavor Lady M in the future, but I don’t know if that is going to be before graduation or after I married. Who knows?

Well as i can see your into your games and i cant blame you, i’m more of someone to play xbox and stick to my sports games but who knows i may venture out and play a few games you said you liked. as for the mall i’m pretty surprised it was slow on a Friday, its normally a hike to get in once you find an actual parking spot. by the way thanks for the heads up on the spicy garlic i’ve never had it before but now in definitely not planning on it any time soon. as for cooking i’m the same way though i love well prepared food i just am not a fan of prepping it myself is all.

What makes a good writer? I believe a good writer must grab the attention of his audience and captivate them through their entire piece to submerge them into what they are reading. As a writer I believe a strength I have is getting my point across to the reader very clearly. I make sure they walk away with a full understanding of what I have written and don’t leave feeling confused. I also believe my pieces are very smooth and free flowing almost as if I am just in conversation with the reader, and lastly I am very good I feel personally at making connections back in my writing being able to tie a lot of my papers together for good conclusions. But obviously no ones perfect especially not me, with my writing I make silly or stupid mistakes usually involving grammar, punctuation, or even sentence structure. Which honestly puts me at a sub par writing level for where I believe I should be at this time in my college career. One topic I enjoy writing about is the evolution of the word race and how it has changed over time and separated towns, states and even countries. Just the fact that a 4 letter word with such little definitional meaning can cause so much damage over time. A few things I enjoy to do in my free time consist of working out, running, playing or training for football, having bonfires, going out on the boat going for a bike ride, or just relaxing and watching college or professional football. Ultimately, I loving being outdoors and being active, just the freedom you can have mentally by being physically active and living a healthy lifestyle is just an unbelievable feeling. Throughout this semester i’m looking to improve and come as close to perfecting my writing as possible. I’m looking to clean up my sentences improve and cut down on simple mistakes and become more formal and respectable in my addresses. I want to be able to walk out of this class and be able to walk into the job market feeling confident in what I can bring to the table at a respective place of employment that will help me in my career endeavours for the future. I will hopefully achieve this by using the tools and resources i’m provided with by you to better understand how to better myself in this field using things such as the book and your constructive criticism to not only get through the class but to prepare myself for the next task that lies ahead. The most important part though is that you do give me the constructive criticism necessary to push me to improve in these areas I have addressed need improvement and even other areas you believe I need improvement in that I don’t see myself. Also to show me maybe what I did wrong specifically and how or what I can do next time to fix the mistakes I have made to improve each and every time in my writing.
