I love that this one ended in a tie! The similarities between them are pretty clear, but I'd love to hear people's views on their most glaring differences? I rambled in my last post about what i perceive as differences between Stefan and Angel, but while I know differences between Damon and Spike's personalities certainly exist, it's harder for me to articulate or even identify exactly what they are :)

They are quite similar - shoutout to broody guilt-ridden introverts with hero complexes who genuinely care about being good but don't always know how! - but I do also see some differences? All just my subjective opinion, of course!

Stefan is less rough around the edges, more socially adept, better attuned to other people's feelings/motivations, a little more cerebral, a bit more judgmental/self-righteous, and definitely more concerned with maintaining harmony overall. Stefan also has far less of an overall crusade/mission/purpose than Angel, but that can be almost entirely attributed to the differences in writing, scope, themes etc between AtS and TVD.

Angel is more socially awkward (#relatable), quicker to escalate to anger/aggression when faced with conflict and opposition, is less secure (again...relatable!), and is less patient with people than Stefan yet also less self-righteous/judgmental than Stefan. (Yeah, I know that last one doesn't make sense unless you share my weirdly wired brain!)
