Wish Upon a Star: Prologue
(I realized the first ever comic of Wish isn't on Tumblr. Not to mention, it's not fully accurate anymore. And I get to add more to it. This takes place before the Body Swap episode.)
Eclipse worried for Saturn. Though she told him that she got over the idea of having a baby, he couldn't help but notice her lingering gaze at the children. Her disappointment was especially apparent at night. When she thought he was asleep, he'd hear her silently cry before eventually sleeping.
One night while Saturn still slept, Eclipse got up from the bed and walked out towards the hall. Due to the Daycare being cramped, Eclipse and Saturn had started to sleep more at the ship together. Once Eclipse reached a nearby window, he paused and looked towards the brightest clusters of stars he could find.
A few months into their marriage, Saturn had mentioned The Stars granting wishes for the Makara Astralis. She always used it in the context of war but wouldn't her distress be enough reason?
Bringing up the memory files of her reciting the incantation, he looked up to the Stars and began to speak. He struggled with certain words and had to take pauses at times, but eventually he reached the end. And once he did, he took one final breath before finalizing his wish.
“By the Stars above, please, let my wife have a child. By any means you deem fit.”
When Saturn woke up, she noticed how empty her bed was. Immediately, she jumped out of bed and frantically looked around her room. Usually if Eclipse woke up first, he would stay in the room and wait for her or leave her message. She could neither find her star or a note.
Quickly suiting up, Saturn stomped out of their room. She was ready to frantically call the Pizza Plex when she noticed the slumped figure near the window.
The figure was Eclipse. And from the looks of it, he was just merely sleeping. Though relieved, she questioned why he chose to come here and then not come back to bed. She doubted the window was comfortable.
Gently, Saturn shook her husband awake. His eyes were dimmed when he opened them, a clear sign of his lack of battery charging while asleep. He must've been at this window for a long time.
Eclipse then flopped over, Saturn barely catching him before his head hit the ground.
“Eclipse, what are you doing out here? You should at least be charging.”
Eclipse groggily looked up at his beautiful, concerned wife and gave a soft, lopsided smile.
“I wished for a child, my dear. Did…did it work?”
Saturn's ears perked up. He was at this window…to wish for a child? Looking outside, she could see a clear cluster of stars. Did he try to use the wishing incantation? Just for her sake? With a small smile, Saturn moved Eclipse to be firmly in her grasp.
“Eclipse, I don't think the Stars would grant such a wish. We aren't at war.”
Eclipse groaned in disappointment before fully resting his head on her shoulders.
“But you're so upset. That's more important than any war…”
Saturn couldn't help the blush that started to creep on her face. Fully picking up her husband, she started carrying him towards their room. Grabbing the charger, she plugged him back to the portable battery while also tucking him in.
“While I'm grateful, I don't like that you neglected your rest. I'll inform Freddie that you're staying a bit longer at my ship.”
Saturn was about to leave before Eclipse's hand grabbed at her arm.
How could she refuse her loving and caring husband.
Saturn took off her armor, which wasn't difficult as it wasn't fully clasped in her earlier haste, and slid herself into the sheets.
“Sleep well. I love you.”
There are 2 reasons why this au is called Wish Upon a Star. The child wish (Eclipse's) and the revival wish (Saturn's).
So Stella is the result of that old wish. And since its spoiled already, Saturn's wish will eventually come true. It will just take more time for reasons I will explain once we get there.
