In bugzwurld, pain is not something to be feared or loathed, instead it is thought of as a spiritual aid, grounding us in our bodies and connecting us to the angel of candlewax. this triptych altarpiece invites viewers to rethink their own relationships to pain and discomfort, suggesting that said feelings can help us to further connect to our corporeal forms.

as someone who experiences chronic pain, I made this piece to help find meaning in pain and use it as a means to feeling present within my own body.
